Follow-up

1. Describe in one or two sentences what happened as the technology changed.

As technology advanced, the quantity of fish started to decline as the advanced technology was more efficient at catching fish, subsequently
decreasing the population of fish.

2. As a group, write a letter to generation 5 explaining your actions. What decisions did you make and why did you make them? Is there
anything you would do differently?
Generation 5, I suggest that you move out of the fishing business, there is nothing left to take. We overfished, in a march towards wealth. As a
result, there is no fish left to catch. We should have stopped earlier, however we didn’t. That turned out to be our biggest mistake.

3. Name two solutions that can prevent overfishing.

a. Catch only what you need, and a only little extra
b. Keep a good watch on the fish, and see to it that there is enough fish to keep the fish population in equilibrium.

Go back to the set-up from the beginning of the game. Devise a plan for a sustainable fishery that will support your family for many generations,
To keep the fish population in equilibrium, we must catch no more than half of the fish population in between breeding seasons, that way the
population reverts back to what it was before after the fish procreate.
