3. PROTECTION BY LUBRICATION
A. Open main landing gear doors to get access to the rod. (TASK 32-10-00-860-801).
WARNING: TAKE ALL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS INHERENT TO WORKS CARRIED OUT WITH OPEN
DOORS.
B. Check that there is no trace of corrosion. Try to rotate it, if possible.
C. Lubricate the rod assembly with lubricating oil.
NOTE: If there are traces of slight corrosion, remove rod, eliminate corrosion with a scotch brite pad.
Grease pins with synthetic grease and refit them (TASK 53-41-01-900-801).
