Introduction
This document contains an explanation of information necessary for
installation of the “Thermal Analysis Software Software for NEXTA”
(hereafter referred to as “this software”) at the customer location.

This document provides an explanation for maintenance personnel that


have received training for such things as system disassembly, assembly
and adjustment.

Prior to installation, be sure to carefully read and understand the


Safety Precautions and Installation Cautions in order to safely and
correctly perform the installation.

Machines and software images contained in this document may vary from
the actual product.

1. Safety Guide
Use sufficient care regarding the following cautions in order to use this
software correctly and safely.

WARNING
Be sure to follow all cautions noted in the operation manuals of the system
and the software (including this document). Failure to adhere to the
cautions may result in your danger or may damage the system.

3. Installation Cautions
This section describes the preparations needed for
installation prior to delivery of the instrument including road
and other information.

3.1.1. Confirm Power Supply


Table 3-1 shows the power supplies needed for use of the system.

Main Unit Side Connector (Inlet) Specifications:


JIS C 8303 and IEC 60320-C13 3P Inlet
For international locations have the customer prepare the outlet in
accordance with the above plug.

The power supplies needed for use of the PC


Prepare the power supply depending on the specifications of the PC.

Operation Procedure
1. Check to make sure the number of outlets is correct according to the
above table. Have the customer confirm the electric capacity.

2. Have the customer check to make sure the power supply is a 3 prong
outlet with ground.

3. Have the customer check the frequency of the power supply.

4. Measure the voltage of the power supply with a digital multimeter


(tester) and confirm that it is within the range.

If the power supply voltage fluctuations are outside the range, a


stabilizer power supply (AVR) is recommended at the customer
location.

4.1. Delivery
4.1.1. Confirmation Prior to Installation
Before installing, confirm the packed quantities.
The packed items vary based on the purchased options and the shipping
region. Refer to Table 4-1 to confirm the packed item.

Operation Procedure
1. Confirm the contents on the packing list.
2. Checked to see if there is any damage to the packaging material.

For installations, if the packaging is damaged, contact the shipping


company for appropriate processing.

4.1.2. Opening Packaging


Be sure you secure sufficient space to open the packaging.

Operation Procedure
1. Be cautious of the following when opening the packaging.

CAUTION
During operations be careful with cutters and drivers so that people are not hurt
and equipment is not damaged.

4.2. Discarding Packing Materials


4.2.1. Japan Packaging
Packaging materials used in Japan can be used again.
The shipping company will call upon the customer location the afternoon
of the installation date for collection.

4.2.2. Other Countries Packaging


Other countries packaging materials are not reused. Therefore, follow the
local regulations for discarding these materials and discard appropriately.
For packing materials, refer to the Delivery Specification (Document:
0507-243-001E).

4.2.3. Other Packaging


For other packing material such as instrument protective film, and
computer, monitor, attachments and printer type packing materials, follow
the local regulations to discard.

4.3. Part Confirmation

Refer to the accompanying packing list to confirm the part quantities.

4.4. Software Installation

Refer to the Thermal Analysis Software Software for NEXTA Start-up


Guide for the installation procedure. For computers and printers ordered
outside of Japan, perform computer settings, software installation and
printer settings.

 If the PC is shipped from the factory:


Confirm that the software is installed and the configuration, and if no
problems are found, the software does not need to installed. End the
installation procedure.

 If the PC is owned by the user:


Follow the Thermal Analysis Software Software for NEXTA Start-up Guide
to newly install the software.

 If the evaluation version of this software is installed on the PC:


Follow the Thermal Analysis Software Software for NEXTA Start-up Guide
to update the software. The data and method files are preserved.

 If the Thermal Analysis Software with EMA function is installed on the


PC:
Follow the Thermal Analysis Software Software for NEXTA Start-up Guide
to update the software. The data and method files are preserved.

 If the TA7000 software has been already installed on the PC:


The software and the TA7000 software are used together on the same PC.
Check the following precautions, and follow the Thermal Analysis
Software Software for NEXTA Start-up Guide to install the software.
1. Confirm that the version of the TA7000 Software is Ver.11.2 or later.
2. Confirm that the optional “21 CFR Part11 Support Option Software” is
not added to the TA7000 Software. If added, do not install this
software.

Precautions for the dual use of TA7000 and this software:

When the TA7000 software is updated, this software must be


re-installed after the TA7000 software update.
When the TA data files are opened from the explorer, they are
associated with the last installed software (TA7000 or this software).

•If this software is installed on the PC that the TA7000 software has
been installed already, this software launches when TA data files are
opened.

4. Installation Procedure

• In the case of that the TA7000 software is installed to upgrade on the


PC that this software has been installed, the TA7000 software
launches when the TA data files are opened.

4.5. Use together with TA7000 Software

Read this section only if the TA7000 software and this software are
used together on the same PC. The TA data files are associated with
the last installed software (TA7000 or this software). If the associated
software is not that the user mainly use, follow the procedure below to
change the associated software
.
1. Prepare data files of the data formats that you want to change the
association.

2. Right click a data file, and select [Properties] in the displayed


pop-up menu. [Properties] window of the data file is displayed.

3. Click [Change] button in [Program] of [General] tab. [Open with]


window is displayed.

4. Click [Browse] button. [Open with] window is displayed.


Select the program to associate, and click [Open] button.
In addition, the software to select varies based on the type the OS
(Windows).

To associate with this Software:


[For Windows 10 Pro 64bit and Windows 7 Professional 64bit]
C:\Program Files (x86)\EXSTAR\Muse\bin\StdAna.exe
[For Windows 7 Professional 32bit]
C:\Program Files\EXSTAR\Muse\bin\StdAna.exe

To associate with the TA7000 Software:


[For Windows 10 Pro 64bit and Windows 7 Professional 64bit]
C:\Program Files (x86)\TAstation\8.0\bin\StdAna.exe
[For Windows 7 Professional 32bit]
C:\Program Files\TAStation\8.0\bin\StdAna.exe

5. Click [OK] button to close [Open with] window.

6. Click [OK] button to close [Properties] window.

7. Perform the steps 1…6 for all data formats that you want to
change the association.

4.6. Sample Observation Option RV-3TG Software Installation

Follow the instructions in the Assembly Adjustment Specification


“0506-E01-001 TA Software for NEXTA” for “RV-3TG_Software for NEXTA
Station Setup” to install the software and perform Factory Configuration
settings.

4.7. Sample Observation Option RVST0011 Software Installation

Follow the instructions in the Assembly Adjustment Specification


“0506-E01-001 TA Software for NEXTA” for
“RVST0011_Software_for_NEXTA_Station_Setup(English).docx” to install
the software and perform Factory Configuration settings.

4.8. PC Station USB I/F Board Expansion

For the Sample Observation option RV-3TG, the USB I/F board is included
based on the compatibility condition of the PC Station USB port and
Camera.
When the PC Station model is Optiplex 7020 or 5040, it is necessary to
expand the PC Station USB I/F board.
(For the Optiplex 7010 do not expand the USB I/F board.)

※When the Sample Observation option RV-3TG and PC Station are


delivered at the same time, the USB I/F board is installed in the PC Station
at the factory at the time of shipment so it is not necessary to expand the
USB I/F board.

【Work Instructions】
※ The latest information is contained in the Assembly Adjustment
Specifications 【0506-E01-001 TA Software for NEXTA】 - 【RV-3TG_
Software for NEXTA Station Setup】.

4. Installation Procedure

(1) Shutdown the PC Station, unplug the power cable and remove the USB
devices other than the keyboard and the mouse.

(2) Remove the PC side cover and release the slot cover lock.

(3) Remove the slot cover of the uppermost empty slot.


※ Typically the RS-232C expansion board is attached to the
uppermost slow so remove the cover of the slot directly below it.

(4) Remove the board from the packaging and exchange the bracket for
the accompanying Low Profile.
※Only for standard PC Stations. In other systems it is matched to the
PC so replacement is not necessary.

(5) Connect the power branch cord to the board.

(6) Remove the power connector from the HDD and connect the power
connector to the power branch cord.
※It is a hard fit, so be careful not to break.

(7) Connect the leftover end of the power branch cord to the location
where the connector was just removed from the HDD.

(8) Attach the expansion board to the slot where the cover was just removed.

(9) Lock the slot cover and attach the PC side cover.

(10) Connect the power cable and turn ON the PC Station.


※Do not attach any USB devices at this point except the mouse and
keyboard.

(11) Once the PC Station has started, load the accompanying CD.
※After PC start-up, the New hardware has been detected window is
displayed. Click Cancel to close the window.

(12) BUFFALO

⇒ Click the × in the upper right

(15) Connect the Camera USB Cable to the USB I/F board left side port.
