Motivation Letter

Selection Committee,
Brno University of Technology,
Brno, Czech Republic.

Dear Selection Committee,

As someone who's passionate about using science and technology to create a better world, I
believe that civil engineering offers the perfect blend of creativity and technical know-how.
From building sustainable structures to designing efficient transportation systems, the role of
civil engineers in shaping our society is paramount. As a Civil Engineer I always sought after the
solutions that make Life easy and my graduation research also supplements my passion.
Therefore, I have founded Civil Engineering course in Brno University of Technology, the best
place to fulfill my dream. This program is an ideal platform for utilization of my expertise and
for gaining additional research skills which are necessary to bring forth a sustainable urban
planning for the world at large.
The fundamentals of Civil Engineering captured my attention during my studies and changed my
views about structures and materials. I worked with a group of people on my senior project,
"Effect on Compressive Strength by replacing sand with stone dust in concrete.” Civil
Engineering has become more of a passion rather than a career for me, since then. Moreover,
during my undergraduate studies, I was fortunate to be exposed to a wide range of subjects,
including Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Transportation Engineering, and
Construction Management. I was particularly drawn to the challenges associated with designing
structures that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also structurally sound and safe.
After my graduation, I did job as site engineer for some time. This job nurtured my skills of
monitoring and planning of structural work, that led me to shift to a job of full time structural
engineer. The scope and job nature, resultantly, have enhanced my interest as a Civil Engineer.
The major task of my current job is designing parameter of stressing and grouting in building and
bridges. During these jobs, I found my deep love and passion to increase my current knowledge
about Civil Engineering, which I seek to learn from Brno University of Technology.
Nowadays, there are several educational institutions operating all over the world in this digital
age. Czech has developed a name that is highly known within its educational operations. With its
excellent transport links, cutting-edge research facilities, and world-class universities, Brno is a
city at the forefront of innovation and education, providing an ideal environment for businesses
and entrepreneurs to thrive. After studying in Brno, I would be qualified to join any respected
organization with my expertise in Civil Engineering. I have looked into a lot of universities
around the world to get a master's degree in Civil Engineering, but the ambiance and
infrastructure of Brno University of Technology is matchless.
I have researched extensively on the program offered at your esteemed institution and I am
impressed by the diverse coursework and research opportunities available. Equally important, as
I was applying I found something really interesting. I found professor Karel Šuhajda profile on
university website. I would love to share an interesting story, during my final year research I had
studied a lot of research papers by Professor Šuhajda. This further strengthens my belief in the
institution and its world renowned faculty. Studying directly under the guidance of such mentors
is really life changing.
In conclusion, I believe that Brno University of Technology is the ideal institution for me to
pursue my Master's degree in Civil Engineering. I am eager to contribute my skills and
enthusiasm to the program, and I am confident that this opportunity will enable me to achieve
my academic and professional goals.
I look forward to becoming a useful asset in this initiative and gaining a lot of civil and
scientific knowledge through this program. Thank you for your consideration.

Yours Sincerely,
Uzair Hassan
