PTA Update for Week 48

The Winter Bazaar is THIS Sunday at 11am. Come and join in the fun!
We need your help to make this event a success and support the school. Can you help for half an hour during the event? Do you have new childrens toys for the tombola or second hand items for the Loppis? Have you returned your sold raffle tickets to the PTA box in Reception? Have you purchased tickets for the Dance and Music show? Please contact Rachel (trcallander@aol.com) or Dorte (dorte@holm-egeskov.dk) if you can help. Thank you.

Anything to donate for the Winter Bazaar Loppis?

This year the Winter Bazaar Committee has asked the Grade 7 students to help with a Loppis (Secondhand Sale) at the Winter Bazaar. So if anyone is having a sort out and would like to donate any used toys, books, or other household items to the sale it would be greatly appreciated. Items can be brought into school where they will be stored in the basement at PYP until the Bazaar on Sunday, 4th December. Please contact Wendy van Duijvenboode (wendy.vanduijvenboode@telia.com) for more details or to arrange an item drop-off time.

Tickets available for the Winter Bazaar Dance and Music Show
Dance and Music Show tickets now on sale at the PYP School Reception Area. Children in the show do not need a ticket but everyone else does. 20kr adult and 10kr children. Tickets are running out, so please remember to buy one either before or after school. Please contact Rachel Callander (trcallander@aol.com or 07223 76888) for more details.

Feedback from the November 25th PTA Discussion Coffee Morning:

Birgitta Sandstrm Barac and Iona Sadler presented at the Friday coffee morning. The following topics were reviewed and several parents questions were answered: Swedish Philosophy of Education Impact of Swedish Law on the International Programme Impact of Employment Law on ISGR Those parents in attendance felt the information provided was very useful to help understand the Swedish laws and guidelines that ISGR must abide by and why things are done a certain way at the school. Unfortunately, only 11 parents were able to attend this months coffee morning we had hoped to have many more. Iona and Birgitta said a copy of their presentation will soon be posted to the school website.

Glgg Evening!
Our grade 10 students are organising a glgg evening in December. This is to raise money for their trip to Berlin next year. Every year our grade 10 students raise money and organise a trip abroad. The only criteria we have is that it should be justifiable educationally and help broaden our understanding of internationalism. (And be fun of course!) So please keep your calendar free for the 8th December between 17:00-20:00, and be prepared to give generously! Glgg is a traditional Swedish Christmas drink. When: 8 December, 17:00-20:00 Where: Bamba (Molinsgatan campus)

Please send us your feedback very few responses have been received so far! New PTA Question of the Week for Week 46 and Week 47 and Week 48 How do you and your family make the best of the long Swedish winter? What are your suggestions to help other families endure the darkness and enjoy the winter weather?
