Vacancy for Library Trainees 2023-24

Central Library, Bundelkhand University, Jhansi is in need of young, dynamic, tech-

savvy, highly motivated, and committed fresh Graduates in Library and Information Science
from recognized Indian universities with consistently good academic record to serve as Library
Professional Trainee purely temporarily for one year. Candidates who have passed the final year
B. Lib. & I. Sc. or Any Bachelor Degree (B.A., B.Sc., B. Com etc) Examination 2020 to 2023

Name of the Assignment: Library Trainee
No. of positions: 10 (Ten)
Period of Training: One year from the date of joining.
Stipend: 9,000/- per month consolidated with no additional perks.
Educational Qualification: First Class in Bachelor in Library and Information Science or Any
Bachelor Degree ( B.A., B.Sc., B. Com etc) from a recognized Institute/University having a good
academic record.
Desirable: Candidates with relevant Computer Knowledge will be preferred.
Age Limit: 27 years as on the last date of application. Relaxation for OBC, SC, ST, and PBWD
category candidates will be applicable as per Govt. of India rules.
Mode of Selection: Interested candidates who meet the above-mentioned requirements may
submit their application online at https://nats.education.gov.in/index.php . The Library reserves
the right to hold an interview in the selection process. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in
the selection process.
Nature of Training: Selected trainees will get an opportunity to work in various sections of the
central Library, Bundelkhand University, Jhansi on emerging tools and technologies in the
Library and Information field. They will have to work in different shifts (as applicable),
including morning and evening shifts, and on weekends/ holidays on a rotation basis (six days a
week). No accommodation facilities will be provided by The Library. The positions will be
deemed to be automatically terminated at the end of the completion of their tenure.
Date of the interview: This will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates through e-mail
or phone. The Library reserves the right to place a reasonable limit on the total number of
candidates to be called for an interview.

The decision of the Library will be final and binding in this regard.
 Merely fulfilling the minimum qualification will not vest any right on a candidate for
being called for an interview.
