CHAPTER I

BIOGRAPHY OF CHRISTIAM MEIER

Christian Dietrich Meier Zender was born on June 23, 1970, in Lima, Peru, he is 54
years old. He is the son of Gladys Zender, first Peruvian and Latin Miss Universe;
and Antonio Meier, Peruvian politician who in 2006, was elected mayor of the Lima
district of San Isidro, and has three siblings: Antonio, Sybille and Karina. He
studied at the Champagnat Catholic School of the Marist congregation and later
studied Graphic Design and graduated in early 1992.

From the age of 12, Meier was a member of numerous musical groups, singing
and composing songs. At the age of 16, he started professionally with Pedro
Suárez-Vértiz, Patricio Suárez-Vértiz and Arturo Pomar Jr. when he formed the
group Arena Hash. After the dissolution of Arena Hash, Meier began his solo
career with the album No me acuerdo quien fui, an album he wrote, composed and
produced himself. With the success of his first album, he was encouraged to
release a second album titled Primero en mojarme. Later, would come his most
internationally known album entitled Once noches, in which he had the
collaboration of Mikel Erentxun in the song “Novia de nadie”.

In August 2016 he released a new album called Nada ha cambiado, in


collaboration with Gianmarco Zignago.

CHAPTER II
He achieved international fame as a soap opera actor, a career that began in 1993
with El ángel vengador: Calígula, in which he shared roles with Julián Legaspi. In
1994, he recorded the telenovela Gorrión, broadcast by Panamericana Televisión.
In 1995 he was in Malicia, a telenovela produced by Luis Llosa starring Gianella
Neyra and broadcast by Frecuencia Latina, and in 1996 the telenovela Obsesión
with Diego Bertie.

In 1997, he starred in the telenovela Escándalo with Salvador del Solar for Iguana
Producciones on Frecuencia Latina and, in 1998, Luz María for América Televisión.
Subsequently, he participated in films such as No se lo digas a nadie (1998) and
La mujer de mi hermano (2005), both based on works by Peruvian writer Jaime
Bayly.

In television, he starred in the soap opera Isabella, mujer enamorada in 1999. He


then traveled to Mexico to participate in the TV Azteca productions Amores, querer
con alevosía and Lo que es el amor.

In 2003, he returned to Peru for the lead role in the soap opera Luciana y Nicolás
alongside Mexican actress Ana de la Reguera. The following year, he traveled to
Colombia to take on another leading role in Caracol Televisión's Luna, la heredera
alongside Gaby Espino.

Meier consolidated his career in Colombia in 2005, playing the starring role in La
tormenta for R.T.I. Televisión and Telemundo alongside Natalia Streignard.

In 2007, he assumed the starring role in the telenovela Zorro: la espada y la rosa
alongside Mexican actress Marlene Favela. He then played another leading role
playing Santos Luzardo in Doña Bárbara alongside Mexican actress Edith
González, also filmed in Colombia.

In September 2010, he starred in Telemundo's mystery series Alguien te mira,


alongside Colombian actress Danna García.

Meier returned to Caracol Televisión in Colombia in 2010 to star in the production


Primera Dama alongside Carina Cruz, where he plays Colombian President
Leonardo Santander.
Meier participated in the series for Fox Lynch in 2012, playing Emilio Triana. The
following year he will star in the Fox Latina series Familia en venta alongside Angie
Cepeda. The series aired in the first months of 2013.

In film, he starred in the movie Magallanes, directed by Salvador del Solar,


released in 2014.

Meier filmed for the webnovela Arranque de pasión, alongside Carlos Ponce and
Kate del Castillo. He continued in television in the third season of Lynch.

Meier plays Willy in Fox Telecolombia's Cumbia ninja in 2013.

In 2014, he starred in a new leading role as Esteban Dominguez in the Mexican


telenovela La malquerida alongside Victoria Ruffo and Ariadne Diaz.

In 2019, he joined Fox Premium's Colombian series El general Naranjo, based on


real events and inspired by the life of retired Colombian National Police General
Óscar Naranjo.
