WELCOME
The Order of the White Lion and Isis Tuition are run by teachers who have
completed an extensive study of spiritual awareness and in particular the
Tree of Life, working very much on a practical level.

Our aim is to help raise awareness, not only of the teachings and how to use
the Tree of Life, but also to help others find a way of living their lives more
fully.
Introduction to Qabalah
The word Qabalah is a Hebrew word and it means to receive inner wisdom.

The teachings have been passed on orally throughout the ages and are
frequently known as the Kabbalah as they come from Jewish origins.

Although the essence is the same the word Qabalah is often used by those of
non-Jewish background linked to the western world.

The Qabalah is not a religion it is more a Way of Life however it embraces

all religions, beliefs and faiths and recognises the value within each of them.

These ancient teachings are mapped out on the Tree of Life.

The Tree of Life is a tool that can be used on a daily basis.

It provides a solid structure for us to follow as we journey through life,

exploring and discovering more about our Selves, our Purpose and the
Bigger Picture.

In this series of workbooks the journey to enlightenment begins on the ground

floor in Malkuth and ascends to the spiritual realms of Kether.

To help in our understanding of the teachings and how the Tree of Life works
it is advised that before exploring Tiphareth the previous sephiroth are
studied first:

Malkuth - sephirah 10

Yesod - sephirah 9

Hod - sephirah 8

Netzach - sephirah 7
Malkuth raises our awareness of the way we live our life; the way we
behave and how we look after our physical body, and attend to our wants and
needs.

Yesod, Hod and Netzach take us through the level of the personality where
we explore our emotions, attitudes and feelings.

Tiphareth - sephirah number 6 - moves us away from the needs of the

personality, towards the Bigger Spiritual Picture.

Now we move into the realms of the soul and soul values.

It becomes essential that we have a good understanding of how we operate as

a personality, and that we are strong on this level as Tiphareth represents our
point of balance and power, and requires the Will of the Personality (Hod) to
align with the Will of the Soul (Tiphareth).

As explained in the earlier workbooks, each sephirah and associated temple

help us in different areas of our lives.

They are not all the same.

The teachings of the practical Qabalah can help us to focus and become more
aware of how we operate on all levels.

The Temples are points of connection where we go to meditate.

Which temple we choose to meditate in depends on the area of life we are

searching for answers.

The Temples work for us through the powers of visualisation and our senses
and feelings.

The following is a basic exercise designed to aid the initial process of

building the imagery around Tiphareth, the Temple of the Sun.
The images of all the Temples on the Tree of Life are already built in the
ether.

Connecting into that energy, which has been used by thousands of others
over the years, creates immense power. For this reason the description has
been kept simple. It is not wise to attempt any kind of temple or path-
working without proper guidance and controls in place.
Description of the Temple of Tiphareth
A climb up a steep hill and then a golden stairway lead us to the portal of
Tiphareth.

We feel ourselves being lifted by an unseen force as we make our way up the
steps to the golden doorway of the Temple of the Sun. A vast cathedral, pure
white in brilliance yet glowing with multi-lights of all the colours of the
rainbow. Marble pillars gleam in the sun towering high above, throwing
sparks of rainbow light trailing in a misty haze all around.

As the vast golden doors of the temple open before us we find ourselves in a
magnificent arched cathedral with great windows of sparkling light.

Everything sparkles.

The walls are arched up and over, like in old churches, and shimmer with
rainbow light. Set in the walls are eight golden doors that lead to other paths.

Four great golden thrones studded with jewels surround the altar as if
standing guard in each one of the four quarters.

On each throne sits an Elemental King the only beings of the Elemental
kingdom that can claim the automatic right to personal souls.

The floor is golden and carpeted with rushes and sweet herbs. As we walk
the perfume of crushed thyme and sweet scented stock fills the temple.

The windows look like cathedral windows with images of Christ on them
and sacrificed Gods: corn gods, Odin, Osiris, Prometheus and Vishnu.

The altar is made of pure white marble, unadorned except for a silver
chalice, bursting with light so bright we can barely see it.

The archangel Raphael appears with wings half folded behind him, wearing
robes of lemon silk.
Flashes of rainbow light trail from his fingertips as he offers bread and wine.

In Tiphareth we enter into a contract of marriage with our soul, where heart
aligns with heart, mind with mind and we look out from our bodies and see
with the eyes of the soul.

The angels of Tiphareth are the Malachim (meaning Kings). They are seen as
huge balls of light.

Special features of Tiphareth Temple:

On the hill leading up to the temple we see the image of a sacrificed God and
inside the temple there is a crowned King and child.

The King, child and sacrificed God combined are representative of the
magical image of Tiphareth.

We would use the Temple of Tiphareth to gain balance, to connect with our
Soul guide and lesser masters, and to receive healing.
Tiphareth Awareness
In Tiphareth we find ourselves halfway up and in the heart of the Tree of
Life.

At this point it is often beneficial to remind ourselves of the ground we have

covered so far and where we are heading.

By the time we reach Tiphareth we hope to have a clearer idea of how we:

Manage our lives (Malkuth)

Emotionally react and respond (Yesod)

Build images in our mind according to our attitude (Hod)

Feel, and form relationships (Netzach)

Tiphareth lifts us up beyond the level of the personality and moves us into the
realms of the soul but it is very easy sometimes to lose sight of what it is all
about, and why we decided to pursue spiritual enlightenment in the first
instance.

Tiphareth represents the beginning of Soul level and the Bigger Picture. This
is where the personality becomes the instrument or vehicle for the soul to
guide, and not the controller.

Our soul is concerned with humanity and guiding us, so ultimately we may be
of service to others.

A strong personality can sometimes be more of a liability if it is not

harnessed and not in control emotionally.

The work done on ourselves in Malkuth, Yesod, Hod and Netzach can pay
dividends in the future as this serves to strengthen the personality.
A strengthened personality is far more effective than a strong one that is
allowed to rule supreme.

In Hod we had the opportunity to make a commitment to get to Know our

Self; to Know Thyself as a personality and how we operate. The act of
making such a commitment can help us to focus so the energy and intention do
not dissipate. Any sort of commitment requires a level of Will Power and
Discipline.

In Tiphareth we have the opportunity to make another commitment. This time

the aim is to link with our soul and see things through the eyes of the soul.
In the beginning .....
The process of studying Qabalah is always about finding our own Truths and
being receptive, and open, to all possibilities.

Yesod looks at the state of our subconscious and pre-conditioning, and how
our minds have been shaped and moulded by past experiences, and those
around us.

Hod gets us thinking about our attitude and to question what we think rather
than just accept what we have been told by others.

Before we attempt to connect with our soul it is important we spend some

time contemplating on the Bigger Picture and try to understand the heart of the
matter and how we came to be here on Earth in the first place.

It is generally believed by many, including scientists, that in the beginning

there was nothing.

No Thing.

No stars, planets or life.

Then, there was a mighty explosion. A big bang. What caused that Big Bang?

Some believe everything started with a ripple in the universe. Some believe
it was God’s breath that created a ripple.

Scientists discovered that out of apparent nothingness bubbles of energy can

suddenly appear and disappear.

The quantum theory considers the possibility that if a bubble of energy

survived, and grew and grew, that could be enough to trigger a big bang and
lead to the creation of everything as we know it today.

The big bang theory explains how the stars and planets were formed and how
light began to flow throughout the universe.
Whatever happened, something occurred. The universe began and is evolving
and expanding.
A Star was Born
It was millions of years after the universe first began that stars and galaxies
started to take shape.

However, many physicists believe none of this should have happened - the
Big Bang should have created equal amounts of matter and its twin-
counterpart anti-matter, and one would have cancelled out the other.

While physicists are working on this the fact remains we do exist, we have
survived and Earth, like all the other planets in our solar system, revolves
around a star we call our Sun.

Our Sun is a star which exploded into action about 5 billion years ago. It is
in the centre of our solar system around which everything revolves.

Earth’s position from the Sun could not be more perfect, it is not too close
nor too far away.

Earth could not survive without the light and warmth from the Sun. It is the
heart beat of our existence.

For our Sun to remain alive a constant balancing act is continually taking
place to achieve and maintain equilibrium.

All the time the Sun is having to deal with:

Gravity drawing atoms towards its centre, trying to crush it

Increasing gas pressure, forcing heat and light away from the centre, trying to
propel it out into space

Our Sun is constantly having to adjust and adapt.

When a star is no longer able to maintain the balance between gravity pulling
atoms towards it, and gas pressure pushing heat and light away - it dies.
By reflection Qabalists also believe that without the same ability to change
and adapt we too will also die.

While scientists, mathematicians and physicists contemplate on how the

universe was created there is still a question mark hanging over whether our
creation is the result of chance or if there was purpose and design.

The Tree of Life is a picture of creation. It’s origins are unknown. It is a

diagram of 10 circles (sephiroth) joined by lines (paths) - see illustration .

Within this simple image it is believed the universe and all creation is
duplicated.

The ancient teachings of Qabalah are mapped out on the Tree of Life and
have been handed down through the ages by word of mouth.

According to Jewish tradition an archangel gave Adam the teachings as he

and Eve were expelled from the Garden of Eden.

The teachings were given to help them, and their descendants, find their way
back to the garden and Word of God.

The teachings were also given to Abraham - father of the Jewish nation - to
be used as a guide back to God, the Almighty Creator, and the original plan.

What plan?

If, as some believe, there was no master creator and no purpose and design,
then life must have been created, and sustained, by chance. However, the
probability of that happening has been dismissed by mathematicians.

Maybe there is more to the story behind our creation.

A plan perhaps?

A plan for humanity suggests there is a Bigger Picture and that we are not
here by chance.
On the Tree of Life the sephirah Tiphareth aligns with the Sun.

Tiphareth raises our awareness of the Bigger Picture.

Tiphareth takes us out of the realms of the personality and into the level of the
soul; the soul of humanity and the driving force behind each of our
personalities.
Prophets of the Ages - Devotion to the Great Work
The teachings of each sephirah highlight a vice and virtue.

The vice is what trips us up and hinders our journey through life.

The virtue is what we are aiming to aspire to.

The virtue of Tiphareth is Devotion to the Great Work.

Throughout the ages there have been various prophets who devoted their time
and energy, and often their life, to passing on messages they claimed emanated
from a spiritual source.

Since the time of Abraham (2000BC) - known as the Father of the Jews -
there have been many prophets. Before Abraham the ancient Egyptians,
Sumerians and the bronze age Indus Valley civilisation were building temples
and using idols.

Abraham’s purpose was to restore the true faith.

As well as Abraham there were seven major prophets. Each prophet (or
major influence) represented a different faith or ideal:

Krishna - this Hindu deity was often depicted as a boy or young man relaxed
and playing the flute. Some Hindus say their tradition began hundreds of
thousands of years ago. Hindus believe in One Supreme Being or God from
whom everything comes. They believe that if people want to do good for
themselves or others they must serve God who - like the root of a tree - is at
the root of everything, and everything else in the world is represented by the
branches and leaves.

Moses - the Israelite - was born in Egypt and raised by a Pharaoh’s daughter.
Moses had a vision in which he was told to free his people, the Israelites.
This led to the 40 years in the wilderness. Moses taught of the One God -
Jehovah - and gave his people, the Israelites, the 10 commandments. The
Hebrew teachings are recorded in the Torah.
Hermes - the name first applied to the Egyptian God Thoth and then later to
Mercury the Greek Messenger of the Gods. Hermes Trismegistus was
described as a teacher of Egyptian antiquity. He taught there was only one
God with secondary divinities who carry out God’s Will. The Hermetic
teachings later emerged as Alchemy, Chemistry and Philosophy with some of
the principles used by the Rosicrucians and Freemasons. The teachings spread
far and wide as people intermingled and received wisdom from one another.

Buddha was raised as a prince. He left the palace as a young man and beheld
three sorrowful sights: a dying man, a cripple and a corpse which awakened
him to life’s suffering. From then on he devoted his life to the cultivation of
spiritual peace of mind and became an enlightened one. He tried to teach
others how to be free from suffering that came from human needs and wants.

Confucius - born in 551BC - wanted the Kings and government of his era to
be good rulers; compassionate towards their subjects. Confucianism is a
Moral System. Confucius believed that education and Wisdom would solve
all man’s problems. His message was that each person had a role and place in
society; children should obey their parents; wives should obey their husbands,
everyone should obey the Emperor and the Emperor should obey Heaven.
Confucius taught that if everyone lived in obedience, understood their place,
and behaved in a proper manner then the state would run efficiently.

Jesus , who taught that we should love God with all our heart, our soul and
our mind, and to love our neighbours as we would love ourselves; that we are
children of One Spiritual Family and therefore brothers and sisters of one
another.

Muhammad was born in Makkah around 570AD and is believed by Muslims

to be the final prophet or messenger sent by God to help humanity. During this
time people were worshipping many different Gods. When Muhammad was
meditating in a cave he heard the voice of an angel and given words to learn
by heart; words which called people to worship one true God. Muslims also
believe God sent Abraham and Jesus but the complete and final message was
given to Muhammad.

As individuals we may have a particular affinity with one or more of these

faiths, ideals or religions.
It is important that we remain open and tolerant to all of them.

All the prophets had a message to impart. Something within them, some
hidden force urged them forward to raise awareness and pass on that
information. Information that related to some aspect of a Bigger Picture that
humanity needed to focus on and incorporate into their everyday life.
Something that would benefit not only the individual but humanity as a whole;
to help us connect with each other and to God.

It is said that Muhammad's greatest revelation was his realisation that

humanity needed to recognise the contributions of all the great world teachers.
Only then would humanity have a chance of understanding one another and
find Unity and Harmony.

Muhammad's ancestry is traced back to Abraham through his son Ishmael; so

we go full circle back to Abraham, the Hebrew who was given the teachings
before all the other prophets and whose original task was to restore the one
true faith.

Why did these prophets feel the need to pass on their insights if all we do is
live and die?

Why were these prophets so compelled to preach and share their messages
and revelations?

Could it have been they were answering a calling?

The sephirah Netzach introduces us to the different faces of God and how they
express themselves in the roles we play in our everyday life.

Our job in life is to reflect all of those faces of God - all those different
aspects in a balanced way. These roles can be played out positively or
negatively, with some roles being over-activated and others needing to be
brought out of the darkness and expressed.

Netzach aligns with the Priest role and requires us to be open and receptive to
all faiths and beliefs. Often we are not, and human nature is such that it wants
to control and maintain the upper hand (vice of Netzach). The original
message is then in danger of being distorted and thrown out of balance.

Hod teaches us it is healthy to question and explore.

Yesod reminds us of the dangers of preconditioning.

Are your thoughts your own or have you been programmed to think in a certain
way?

We all have to find our own Truths.

There are no rights or wrongs, just different perspectives and everyone

perceives things in their own way. We just have to know what we think and
then ask ourselves are our thoughts and attitudes in balance, encompassing
both male (expressive) and female (receptive) qualities.
The Qabalah is not a cult and nor is it a religion. It is a discipline and a Way
of Life. It incorporates all faiths, religions and beliefs and recognises the
value within each of them.

These teachings have been passed down through the ages by word of mouth as
a means of helping us to live our lives more completely - in line with the true
nature of who we are.

Throughout history various prophets - each in their own way - tried to get
humanity to look at the way they live their life and treat one another.

Today, many years later, it remains essential that humanity continues to raise
awareness of those ideals and remembers that no belief or opinion can be
isolated and separated for it is all part of a greater truth.

The Qabalistic teachings are designed to help us to recognise and play our
part in the bigger picture.

Each of us has to travel on our own path.

We all have a function, something to contribute.

The different prophets tried to get the people of their time to look at how they
managed their lives and to contemplate on how they could help themselves
and others. It could be said the prophets were living out their destiny, their
reason for being on the Earth plane.

Destiny could be classified as our own personal star. Our own personal sun
around which our life revolves.

Destiny is what we are destined to do this lifetime whether we are

consciously aware of it or not. It is what we have decided for ourselves,
before we were born, and the path we have chosen to walk.

Our destiny is the direction our Soul is trying to take us in, and for that to
happen we must be a willing vehicle.
All our experiences, all the people in our life - these are all things that happen
for a reason.

If destiny is what we are here on earth to achieve, what then … is fate?

What is the difference between Fate and Destiny?

The practical Qabalah helps us to understand who we are, why we are here
and where our creative potential lies.

The spiritual journey mapped out on the Tree of Life encourages us to

recognise doorways of opportunity, and to accept when sometimes things do
not work out the way we would like, and to understand the reasons why.

Have you ever wondered why it is that sometimes everything seems to fall
into place and everything we touch turns to gold. Whereas at other times, no
matter how hard we try, for every step forward we take, we slide back three?

Scientists and astronomers recognise there is an order throughout the universe.

Everything has its own rotation, its own course and rules of procedure. Its
own proper sequence.

If we liken this order to our lives it could be reasoned that all the time we are
on course and walking in the right direction - all is well. Life flows.

However, if we try to go our own way - out of sequence - and pursue a path
that is not part of the plan then we often find ourselves being stopped as
obstacles clutter the way.

When life does not flow it does not necessarily mean we have failed in some
way. It could be that part of the journey was necessary as we needed to
experience something along the way.

When obstacles halt our progress it can sometimes mean that something needs
tweaking.
Perhaps it is time to change direction.

That change might just mean a slight adjustment but when all we get is
problem after problem, and everything feels like it is going wrong, it is very
easy to feel despondent and distressed when nothing appears to be going the
way we want.

Fate tends to hurt because we don’t understand what is happening. Matters get
taken out of our hands and often we feel we have no control.

Ask yourself this:

If you were standing on top of a high hill observing someone blindfolded
strolling towards the edge of a cliff ... would you want to stop them?

Hopefully, the answer to that question is Yes!

Fate is no different.

Fate is what stops us from continuing in the wrong direction. Fate is what
pokes us in the back or forces us into change by placing obstacles in our way.

Nobody appreciates obstacles. We don’t want relationships to end even if we

know deep down inside they are not right for us. We don’t want to face our
fears, and maybe change our jobs or try something new, but if we are not
willing or cannot recognise when it is time for change then fate will bring it to
our attention.

Life is a series of experiences so to try to stay in a comfort zone, particularly

when we are not happy with it, is not moving forwards. It can lead to being
stuck in a rut with our energy stagnating - ceasing to develop and grow.

If nothing stepped in to nudge us out of a rut we could quite easily remain

trapped there or trudging down a road that leads to nowhere.

Neither will lead to fulfilment or lasting happiness.

The teachings of Qabalah can help us to become more aware of ourselves, our
environment and the people around us. They can also help us to realise
quicker when we are travelling down a path that is wrong for us. It makes it
easier for us to understand why we need to change and adapt, and it lessens
the time we spend in trauma and grieving over changes.

This knowledge helps us to get on with our lives and to appreciate there is a
reason behind everything that happens, and how to help ourselves.

Many people feel strongly there is something they need to do. They know they
are here on Earth to do something and there is more to life than just the daily
grind of surviving.

What they are responding to is the call of the Soul. Part of our Destiny is to
find out where our creative energy lies and to use it. The Soul is that driving
force that is trying to get us to move in the right direction, to tap into our
creative power and fulfil our potential.

If we recognised for ourselves when it is time for change - to make room for
something new - there would be no need for Fate.

Often we leave things until they get so bad that when Fate steps in we find
ourselves almost forced into taking action.

The idea is to become more aware and initiate necessary changes for
ourselves thus taking control over our own lives.
Soul Consciousness
We find ourselves in this material world and often a lot of our time, and
focus, is on surviving and earning enough money to keep ourselves afloat.

Our wants and needs can sometimes get lost in amongst trying to keep our
heads above water and having successful relationships; getting along with
those around us like family and friends.

We need to learn how to play this Game of Life on the Earth Plane and how
to survive physically, emotionally and mentally. At the same time we also
need to understand that we are here for a reason and to find out what our
creative energy is, and find a way of breathing life into it and using it.

Part of the challenge of Tiphareth is to make a connection with our Soul.

Our Sun sign is the eye of the Soul and our soul will use our sun sign’s
positive traits to reach the direction it intends to work on.

Our sun sign is the sign of the zodiac we are born under. The soul is intent on
improving our talents and creative potential, and bringing it to life, but it is
also aiming to work with our personality which should never be suppressed.

**Astrology can help us to find out more about our sun sign and discover
what this creative energy is, and show us how we can help ourselves, and
others, lead more satisfying and fulfilling lives.

Some people automatically work at soul level and activate what is necessary
for their sun sign to shine naturally. It is important we understand the nature
of ourselves and our sun sign (Gemini, Leo etc.) as we should never be
forcing things to happen to the detriment of the personality.

We can get an idea of where our creative energy lies, and our souls purpose,
by exploring more about our sun sign and understanding how each sign of the
zodiac operates.

We have to be aware that the personality will allow things to happen to it.
For us to connect and fuse with the soul we need to satisfy the needs of the
inner child and be fulfilled as a personality to keep us strong and healthy.

We must never suppress the personality. It must have emotional release,

sleep, fun and rest.
The following is an awareness meditation that focuses on breaking down the
layers of the personality to reveal who we really are. We are reminded we
are not our personalities, our thoughts or our feelings. We are much, much
more.

Before beginning any kind of spiritual or visualisation work it is worthwhile

spending some time preparing for meditation – making sure you are sitting in
a comfortable relaxed position either on the floor or in a chair with your
back straight. This helps with the flow of energy. Rest your hands in your lap
and try to ensure you are not likely to be disturbed.

If you are not comfortable then you are likely to be distracted and not able to
meditate. Wrapping a blanket around you can also help with relaxation as
well as keep you warm.

Breathe naturally and if you burn incense or use essential oils these can also
help to relax you. Following the same procedure each time you meditate
helps to impress upon the subconscious that you are preparing to raise your
vibrations to connect with your higher self; your intuition.

To help you prepare and clear your mind of outside influences there is a
section on meditation and relaxation techniques on the OWL website you
may find useful: www.orderofthewhitelion.com
Tiphareth Awareness Meditation
To prepare :

Read the description first and then try to follow it from memory.

This visualisation is most valuable when your eyes are closed and you
visualise the experience as you go along. If possible, get someone to read it
out slowly to you with sufficient pauses to allow you time to see the
visualisation clearly. Then, if they too wish to participate, allow them to do
the same as yourself, and discuss your experiences afterwards. It always
helps to share things with another.

If you have read the information on the Owl site, you will remember to sit in
a comfortable, relaxed position – either on the floor or in a chair with your
back straight, this helps with the flow of energy - and your palms uppermost
resting in your lap

Breathe evenly and naturally

You may wish to burn incense or use essential oils. These can help to relax
you. Following the same procedure each time you meditate helps to impress
upon the subconscious that you are preparing to raise your vibrations to
connect with your higher self; your intuition

Record any information received (see record sheet )

Through the Eyes of the Soul
Listen to your heartbeat. This is part of you, part of your body, and yet this
body is not really you.

Say to yourself:

“I have a body ........ but I am not that body”.

Start to feel your body setting into a bag of cement.

It begins to crack under the pressure and starts to crumble slowly into dust.

Feel it going. Let it go. It is your body but it’s not really part of you.
Feel it crumble until it is just a pile of dust on your chair, disintegrating
slowly.

It is your body but you are not that body.

There it goes, finally crumbling deep into dust.

Step out of it and say to yourself:

“I have a body, but I am not that body”.

Now look around and you will see your aura which is a jumble of words and
thoughts.

It sparkles with light.

It is the air. It is the sound of the wind that is the jumble of your thoughts and
words.

Say:

“I have many thoughts but I am not my thoughts”.

Watch those thoughts dance, watch their chaos, look at their confusion.

Watch them tumble away from you.

And slowly, through your thoughts you hear something else, a strange sound.

The sound of a strange hidden light. You are not sure what it is yet.

But there goes the wind again, the wind of your thoughts but you are not those
thoughts.

And now can you hear the water, the sound of water, trickling, the sound of
your feelings those are, but you are not those feelings.

Look down at your aura and you will see slippery shapes, slimy things,
emotions clinging there.

Those are your emotions, clinging to you, clinging to your aura but you are
not those emotions.

Stop for a minute and look again at your thoughts.

Step outside them and say:

“I have many thoughts, but I am not my thoughts”.

Now blow, and watch them spiralling away from you.

Those thoughts are not you, you have them but they don’t belong to you.

Watch them go.

Now look back again at your aura and see those slippery shapes of feelings
and emotions clinging to you.

They wouldn’t cling to you if they were clean.

Imagine yourself under a waterfall cascading over you, and say to yourself:

“I get caught up in my feelings but I am not my feelings”

and feel that waterfall cascading over you as they float away. Feel it, its’
rushing water, cleansing and purifying.

Say to yourself again:

“I get caught up in my feelings but I am not my feelings.”

Feel that water cascade around you.

Can you hear a strange sound?

It’s a calling sound.

A calling, singing sound.

A sound that doesn’t seem to belong to you and yet somehow you know it
does.

Let the waterfall flow, it’s cleaning and purifying.

But .... listen to that voice.

Where is it coming from?

There, now see yourself as a child.

A child in the centre of you - for you are not your body, you are not your
thoughts, you are not your feelings, you are a child.

A child of light, dancing and playing in happiness.

Make contact with yourself.

See yourself as you really are.

Do you know yourself?

Have you seen yourself, your real self before?

This is the real you.

Do you recognise yourself, or are you so full of your body, your thoughts and
your feelings that you don’t see yourself at all as you really are.

See this child grow.

Grow into a wise and illuminated adult.

Commit yourself to being this new adult in the days ahead but still I wonder
if you really know who you are.

If you listen carefully perhaps you will hear a hidden voice, a voice of
reason speaking, a voice of harmony and peace. Listen carefully and you will
hear.

…………………..

In front of you, right now, stands a golden stairway.

Please walk with me up that shimmering stairway. Feel the presence of your
guardian angel standing beside you - guiding you, guiding you up the golden
stairway.

Feel others in front of you, and behind you, as we walk together up the
stairway.

Feel your arms begin to spread and expand.

Your body grows as we begin to breathe freely once again for are we not
tired of holding ourselves, our thoughts and our feelings so tightly enclosed?
As we reach the top of the golden stairway we emerge into a crystal pyramid
of wondrous light, which is where we are right now in this exact moment in
time.

This temple, this sacred space, this sanctuary is so pure, so clean, so safe and
protected. It is filled with such love.

We are in the presence of the angelic hosts.

As you sit in this crystal pyramid feel your arms outstretched in joy and
happiness. Feel the golden cord coming out the top of your head which is
attached to your golden guardian angel.

Yes, your guardian angel is here with you right now.

Pull on the golden cord. Pull yourself upwards into your higher self and ask
your guardian angel to reveal itself to you.

Feel the love, the immense enduring limitless all-encompassing love that
your guardian angel directs towards you. This is your soul. This angel, this
guardian angel is you.

That is who you have truly been all along. You have only to remember.

Try to remember, as you feel your guardian angels’ presence standing before
you. Call to it and shower it with gratitude and love.

Thank it from the depths of your heart for being with you always, for
watching over you and serving you, for giving you guidance and protection
for all these years and especially for loving you, even when you were unable
to love yourself.

Know that your guardian angel has always been there for you with
unmeasurable love - for it is your soul.
Now call out to your guardian angel once again, and tell it that you are now
ready to receive it. That you want so much not only to know it but to embody
it, to bring it in and to merge once again into wholeness ... to be as one.

Call to your guardian angel yet again, and ask for your guardian angel to
reveal to you its name, your name.

You will receive, you will hear what you need to receive right now. Ask for
its name and to give you the power to bring it towards you so you may be
thus empowered to become as you truly are.

Surrender and allow yourself to hear the words that your guardian angel shall
tell you, and as you receive your name, or something like it, say it inside
yourself, claim it, speak it, for it is the word of power.

Bring your guardian angel inside, down through the top of your head and
anchor it down all the way to your feet.

Draw it down now until heart is aligned with heart, Will is aligned with
Will, mind with mind, eyes with eyes until you truly become one, once again.

Yes, call out with open heart to your guardian angel and you will be denied
no longer for your guardian angel yearns to be reunited with you just as you
yearn for it, and now is the time.
…………………….

It is time now for us to leave this gentle place.

Find yourself once again in Malkuth with Sandalphon, the Archangel of

Humanity and Raphael, the Archangel of Tiphareth.

Take this opportunity to make your peace with Raphael.

Hear his words of gentleness and ask him to help you with the healing power
of love that comes from Tiphareth.
Let the sparkle of beauty from his eyes ensoul and enrich you so you may
remember forever the part of you that is not your body, not your mind, not
your feelings but your soul.

End of Meditation

**This visualisation has been used by many over the years and is most
valuable.

At the end of the session it is very important to remember to always allow

the imagery and sensations to dissolve around you, and bring your awareness
back to the chair you are sitting on and the room you are sitting in.

Allow yourself plenty of time to return to everyday consciousness once the

meditation is complete. It is essential you earth yourself after the meditation
to prevent energy loss. Ways to earth or ground yourself include eating and
drinking.

During the meditation you may get given information pertaining to your soul
name and your function; your reason for this incarnation. Do not dismiss
anything. Make a note of everything. You may also feel yourself judder or
itch. This could be due to the psychic net* from the Astral Worlds.

*The spider is associated with Tiphareth. Inside the temple of Tiphareth there
are 8 doors leading to 8 paths - the same number of legs a spider has. The
symbolism attached to the spider is that it stands in Tiphareth, takes its thread
from Kether, and weaves its web in Yesod.

More information on the Astral Worlds and personal spirit guides can be
found in the Yesod workbook.

Later in this workbook there is a more in-depth awareness and meditation on

the Sun Temple of Tiphareth.
Soul Commitment
While studying Yesod, Hod and Netzach, and the level of the Personality, we
get the opportunity to explore how we emotionally react, think and feel.

In Hod we are invited to make a commitment - to ourselves - to get to Know

Thyself. So, by the time we reach Tiphareth and Soul level it is expected we
have spent some time doing just that:

Getting to Know our Self.

The focus of the lower sephiroth is very much on the individual but now,
moving into the realms of the Soul, our attention is moved away from the
personality and on to the Bigger Picture and the reason we are here incarnate
on the Earth Plane.

Everything takes on a different stance now as we attempt to connect with, and

become more consciously aware of, our Soul.

So what does that mean?

Soul Consciousness means being consciously aware of the Soul, and the
direction it is driving you in, is motivation for the greater good of others.

Soul Consciousness is a sense of knowing what is the right thing to do and

when to act. When we tune into the Will of the Soul we are acting on Intuiton.
Intuition is not the same as gut feeling. Gut feeling is emotionally based and
works on a lower personality level.

Intuition is a knowing. There is no doubt.

We intuitively know when something is right or wrong.

The virtue of Tiphareth is Devotion to the Great Work. This is devotion to the
Qabalistic principles; to live for higher causes than just the gratification of
the personality.
The vice of Tiphareth - and what we need to be careful doesn’t trip us up and
prevent us from moving forwards - is False Pride.

False pride can show itself in the form of not being able to ask for help;
pride preventing us from asking for assistance. False pride could also be
thinking we are better than others or showing off, and holding false views of
Self.

Tiphareth represents the beginning of Soul level where the personality

becomes the instrument or vehicle for the soul to drive. The personality is not
the controller. The soul drives the personality and does not get caught up in
petty personality issues. The soul represents the higher mind, and looking
down, is able to see the whole picture rather than the personality outlook -
looking up - which is much narrower.

Soul Consciousness is being consciously aware of the soul, that driving force
within us, and being able to deal with things objectively and non
judgementally.

We must not suppress the personality but it must know its place.

The personality is the child of the soul, as the soul is the child of the spirit.

All the sephiroth have a magical image (see list of correspondences ):

Malkuth - a young woman crowned and throned

Yesod - a beautiful naked man who is very strong

Hod - a hermaphrodite

Netzach - a beautiful naked woman

With Tiphareth there are three magical images:

1. Sacrificed God
2. King
3. Child

The Sacrifice is about sacrificing the Will of the Personality to the Will of
the Soul.

The personality is the God we tend to worship.

We need to sacrifice the desires of the personality for the desires of the soul.

Sacrificed Gods include Corn Gods and Jesus.

Jesus sacrificed himself for mankind. The Christ force took the weight of
humanity’s karma on its own shoulders thus giving humanity the opportunity
to heal itself and recuperate. The crucial point to remember about the
sacrifice is that it was a willing act.

The King is symbolic of the reasoning that by sacrificing the will of the
personality to the will of the soul we become as a King.

King of our own Destiny in the Kingdom of Malkuth

The Child represents innocence and serves to remind us that we are still
children no matter how old we are. We are the child of the soul - in wonder
and awe of the Divine - and allowed to play, have fun, and enjoy ourselves.

We need to do this.

When studying the practical Qabalah the first commitment we make is in Hod
and that is to get to know ourselves as a personality and know truthfully how
we operate. The commitment serves to get us to focus and observe ourselves
in action - nothing more. It is a commitment we make freely and willingly. To
ourselves.

There is also a commitment attached to Tiphareth.

Like the Hod commitment this is a pact we make with ourselves. The
Tiphareth commitment is to try to connect and fuse with the soul.
Again, we have to ask ourselves how we feel about making such a
commitment. How do our personalities behave?

There are no right or wrong answers but it is important we know, and are
truthful with ourselves, and recognise if - for example - we are too self
oriented or over emotional.

The soul is concerned with humanity. It is detached and objective. It is not

interested, or going to get involved, in petty personality issues. The soul acts
as the mediator between the desire of the spirit and the personality.

All the time we are working on the level of the personality and reacting
emotionally and non-productively to difficult situations in our everyday lives
we are creating new karma that eventually has to be faced and resolved.

Our soul strengthens us to be able to face our karma however, until we

sacrifice our personality God we may find ourselves unable to cope with,
and clear, our karmic conditions.

We need to ask ourselves how we feel about the thought of our soul taking
more control.

From now on we are required to walk hand in hand with our soul but as in all
things there needs to be an exchange. As well as making a commitment to
fuse with the soul, and allow the soul to take the reins, we are also required
to make a sacrifice. This sacrifice needs to be something that really means
something to us; something we want to give up, not out of piety.

What are we prepared to sacrifice in return for the marriage to our soul?

Everything is an exchange of energy.

The sacrifice could simply be sacrificing more of our time to concentrate on

becoming more aware of what is going on in our lives, and to observe our
reactions, and to try not to make more negative karma for ourselves.
If we are committed to the Great Work and to be of service to help others, we
will never count the cost. We will do works for humanity and make personal
growth at the same time. In our heart will be love and joy at doing it.

Part of the commitment is to continuously strive not to count the cost. This is
cost on all levels, not just monetary costs but physical (time), emotional and
mental costs too.

This is a good time to remind ourselves of the 10 Faces of God, as explained

in the Netzach workbook, and the way these faces are reflected in the roles
we play in our everyday life.

The face of God that Tiphareth represents is the Martyr Role:

Change is the only constant in the universe. Change is inevitable.

Sometimes, to regain balance and harmony, we have to sacrifice the wants
of the personality. The Martyr role is about sacrificing the Will of the
Personality to allow the Soul to move in and help more easily. It requires
us to adapt to changing circumstances with a happy heart, and not pay lip
service. Any pain attached to this role occurs when suffering is prolonged
because the personality will not adapt and wants to rule supreme.
Balance
The Tiphareth Awareness meditation focuses on breaking down the layers of
the personality. It reminds us we are not our personality, we are not our
emotions, our thoughts or our feelings - we are much, much more, and there is
a bigger picture.

Each sephirah has a key meaning:

Malkuth is known as the Kingdom

Yesod is the Foundation

Hod is Glory or Splendour

Netzach is Victory

The key meaning for Tiphareth is Beauty (or Harmony}.

Sephirah number 5 is Geburah and known as Might (or Severity).

Sephirah number 4 is Chesed and known as Mercy.

The Beauty of Tiphareth is that it represents the Balance between these two
forces of Might and Mercy.

We can see by looking at a picture of the Tree of Life (see illustration ) there
are three pillars :

The female black pillar of Water. The male white pillar of Fire. The grey
pillar in the middle represents equilibrium, or balance, between the male
expressive force and the female receptive energy.

We need to find, and maintain balance, within ourselves on all levels.

As we explore the practical Qabalah further we learn more about the male
and female energy.
We need to be able to work with both and know when perhaps we are
leaning more towards one than the other.

Astrology can help us to discover more about the male and female signs of
the zodiac and show us how many planets we have in male (expressive)
signs and female (receptive) signs.

The yellow sephirah of Tiphareth aligns with the Sun.

Tiphareth is situated centrally in the heart of the tree of life. If we stood with
our backs to a giant glyph of the Tree of Life our feet would stand in Malkuth
and our heart - our own personal sun and heartbeat which keeps us alive -
would align with Tiphareth.

Astrologically, the Sun becomes our desire to live; to be; to exist, for it is the
life-force of ourselves around which everything revolves so it is important
we explore where our creative energy lies so we can breathe life into it, and
align ourselves to the Will of our Soul - the driving force behind the
personality.

Tiphareth not only represents the beginning of Soul level, it is also a point of
balance.

Without balance there is dis-ease and dis-harmony.

We are all continually being challenged to move forward and this means we
have to adapt around changes.

We cannot stand still.

Standing still is not progression, it leads to stagnation.

Each sephirah has a list of correspondences. This information not only helps
us to identify the differences between each sephirah but can also help us to
connect with our guides.
Our guides may impress certain images or symbols upon us and, if we relate
them to the Tree of Life and the different sephiroth, we may understand more
easily what our guides are trying to tell us; what we need to pay attention to,
and the direction our soul is trying to steer us.

In particular Healers, and correspondences attached to the healing energy,

are linked to Tiphareth.

More information on the Healing Function, and other functions, can be

found in the Soul Functions Workbook.

No matter what is going on in our lives we all need to be able to bring

ourselves back into balance. Our life will start to change for the better if we
watch our attitudes (change them) and our feelings (cleanse them).

Pain and hurt is caused by our unwillingness to move out of situations that
serve no purpose or have outlived their usefulness.

The practical Qabalah teaches us the importance of being able to heal

ourselves and regain our point of balance and personal power. But how good
are we at adapting and making adjustments within our lives, and what can we
do to help ourselves?

Every one of us has to deal with life’s ups and downs.

Whatever is happening in our lives it is essential we are able to find a point

of equilibrium so we can remain centred and connected with our higher
selves, our Soul.

It is much harder to be receptive to our guides and Higher Selves if

emotionally we are not stable.

Uncontrolled emotion is uncontrolled energy.

The virtue of Yesod is Emotional Independence.

This is not the same as suppressing emotions.

Netzach looks at the importance of applying bottom lines. Bottom lines can
be used to protect not only ourselves but others too.

More information on Emotional Independence and Bottom Lines can be

found in the Yesod and Netzach workbooks.

As well as applying bottom lines we can help ourselves further by becoming

more aware of our energy levels, and learning how to protect ourselves from
harmful influences and negative energies from those around us.

The difference between operating on a personality or soul level is:

The Personality tends to be Subjective and Emotional

Whereas the Soul is more Objective and Detached

As personalities the tendency is for us to just react to outside stimulus.

It is not productive for us to go around reacting, reacting, reacting all the

time, and blaming others for our negative behaviour.

The aim is for us to observe through the eyes of the Soul; to step back from a
situation and to reflect and consider before responding and taking action.

The Soul is always aware of the Bigger Picture.

So how can we get ourselves back into balance when life is challenging and
we are thrown off-course?

What can we do to help ourselves?

One way we can help our self is through the use of a Magical Image.

A Magical Image can help us to raise our vibrations and lift us to a higher
level of awareness.

More information on Magical Images can be found in the Hod workbook.

Auras and Chakras

Another way we can help ourselves is by becoming more aware of our auras
and chakras.

The explosion of the Big Bang, however it happened, brought light and sound.
We see the colour of light as white, and white is a combination of the seven
colours of the rainbow:

Red
Orange
Yellow
Green
Blue
Indigo
Violet

Not only are these the colours of the rainbow, they are also the colours that
align with our chakras and can be seen in our auras.

Every one of us gives out radiant energy. We all have a magnetic field that
surrounds us that is known as an aura.

This magnetic field appears like a swirling force of colour.

Some people can see these colours but more often what people tend to see is a
very thin line of white or pale grey running like an outline around the body.

That thin line is an energy field that surrounds everyone.

The aura is made up of seven levels or layers, and these layers are like bands
or rings of light. Each layer has its own purpose and colour, and closely
connects to one of the seven master chakras.

These layers of energy are affected and influenced by our environment, our
surroundings and our life-style. Our auras reflect our health, thought processes
and emotional well-being. Everyone’s aura is different. As our moods,
feelings, attitudes, environment and health change - so do our auras.

A person’s aura can be felt even when they are quite a distance away,
particularly if the soul is very advanced.

Our aura is like our personal space and if our vibrations are in tune and
compatible with those around us then it is likely we will remain at ease but if
not, then the result can be dis-ease.
If someone around us is feeling very emotional they can, if we are not careful,
literally suck the energy out of us

because they have entered our aura, and if someone is ill their energy field
can shrink down to almost nothing. This is why it is important we know how
affected we are by the energy of others.

So, what can we do about it, and how can we tell if we are affected?

Unexplained tiredness is one way of telling us we are affected. Our aura can
become damaged through negative thoughts, pollution, poor breathing,
emotional turmoil and stress.

How can we protect ourselves and prevent others from taking our energy - our
power?

Keeping our aura clean is one way of protecting ourselves. We can do this in
a number of ways:

Drink lots of water. Drinking water helps with the removal of energy blocks
and toxicity as well as cleansing the energy field.

Bathe in salt water. Salt is a great purifier and healer. If we use a bristled
brush and scrub our skin dry all over it gets all the toxins out of the body and
energises the lymphatic system. In addition we could mix salt with olive oil
and rub it over the body and then shower it off.

Shower and visualise all the debris being washed away from the aura.
Sometimes just changing our clothes and putting fresh, clean clothes on can
make a difference. Negative energy will attach itself to our clothing and our
shoes. Removal of shoes upon entering the home will avoid treading in
outside influences.

Use a smudge stick to sweep all debris out of the aura. Smudge sticks can be
used for cleansing the aura before meditating. They can also be used to
smudge or cleanse a room.
It is important we find ways of protecting ourselves from the negative
energies of others. Negative energy sticks to us like glue and affects our
ability to cope and remain emotionally balanced. If we are emotionally
unstable, this will affect our ability to tune into our higher selves and channel
information through.

Another reason why we need to protect ourselves is because energy from our
aura feeds into our chakras.

What then, are chakras?

Chakras are spinning whirlpools of energy. The word chakra means wheel or
disk.

We have many chakras but the seven main or master chakras are situated down
the central core of the body.

The colours of our aura are outside of us and inside too. Each chakra has a
different colour and relates to a different area of the body:

The Base chakra is ruby red and situated around the base of the spine. Its
energy stretches down through the legs and feet, and links our energy to
connect with the earth.

The Sacral chakra is orange and situated between the genitals and navel.

The Solar Plexus is yellow and situated in the stomach, just below the
sternum.

The Heart chakra is emerald green and located behind the centre of the chest.
The Heart chakra represents the balancing point. It has three chakras above
and three below. An open heart chakra provides us with a huge supply of love
that we can draw on for ourselves, and others, thus enabling us to truly
appreciate the beauty that lies within us all.

The Throat chakra is sky blue and situated in the area of the throat.
The Third Eye chakra sits in the forehead, in the centre of the eyebrows and is
coloured indigo.

The Crown chakra is violet and situated over the crown or top of the head.

More information on the chakras can be found by visiting the OWL website
.

The energy from the universal life force surrounds everything in our life. The
idea is to take this energy from the universe and the aura, through our chakra
energy centres to energise and keep ourselves alive.

This natural energy is our life force. We cannot function without it.

Our chakras help store, balance and distribute energy around our body. They
move the energy from one position to another, up and down.

The chakras link not only to external events, people and universal energies,
they also link one to another. If one chakra is over or under active it directly
affects the others. There then becomes an imbalance of energy. If this flow of
energy is blocked or stagnant it can mean we are likely to experience
problems physically, emotionally or mentally.

For the personality to be an effective channel and vehicle for the soul to work
through it is essential we actively try to keep our auras clean and our chakras
in balance.

Between them the seven chakras form a colourful rainbow ladder that runs
from the ground floor - on the Earth Plane - up to the spiritual realms. For the
connection to be complete all seven chakras must be fully functioning and in
total balance and harmony.

The rainbow can be described as a Universal symbol of Harmony, and can

therefore be recognised by all, whatever language or creed, for it is the
symbol of pure life, and has often been denoted as the bridge between God
and Man.
More information on the Spiritual Rainbow can be found on the OWL
website.

The soul can also be likened to a bridge. It is the mediating force between the
spiritual desire trying to fulfil God’s plan, and the personality here on earth
putting those plans into action.

For us to reach soul level, on our way to enlightenment and the temple of the
Sun, we first have to cross the rainbow bridge to Tiphareth.

The journey to the Temple of Tiphareth begins in Malkuth.

All journeys begin and end in Malkuth, the sephirah of the Earth Plane.

Sandalphon - the Archangel of humanity - will greet us in Malkuth and lead us

behind the altar to the three doors situated at the back of the temple. The
middle door will take us to the sea temple of Yesod where the Archangel
Gabriel will be waiting. Gabriel will lift us up in his gigantic wings and take
us to the edge of the rainbow bridge which we have to climb to get to
Tiphareth.
The Temple of Tiphareth

In spite of the storm there is a summer glow to the temple of Malkuth and as
we approach the centre we see a golden peacock on the altar with its wings
outspread.

A multitude of birds seem to be singing.

Sandalphon appears radiant in robes of black and yellow, spun through with
gold and we see a golden cross on his breast.
Around the altar stand many cherubim, they stand mutely each holding a
cushion upon which lies a ring for each of us.

A simple band of gold.

We take it as we pass and put it in a black velvet pouch given to us which we

hang around our neck. As we do so we look down and see we are wearing a
pure white robe of hand-woven linen. On our feet are leather-thonged sandals.
The air is humid as if the heat of a summer’s day but the sylphs swoop around
us cooling our face with wings of air as if in a light summer breeze.

Vaguely we wonder where Paralda is. In fact all the Elemental Kings do not
appear to be there, but quickly we forget this thought for the glory of our
surroundings overtakes us and the sound of the pilgrims fills our ears.

Sandalphon tells us that we have made an important appointment.

An appointment not only with the Temple of Tiphareth but that of ourselves,
our souls.

He smiles at us kindly reassuring us by his presence and speaks gently about

this momentous occasion.

He explains that to make true contact with our soul we must begin to
understand the mysteries of sacrifice and asks us what we are prepared to
sacrifice in return for the marriage to our soul.

We must think very seriously on this before we answer.

Everything is an exchange of energy of one sort or another.

Some of us may not be able to answer this question right now but we can think
on this as we wait to proceed on our journey.

Quietly we pass behind the altar towards the central door at the back of the
temple, and Sandalphon and the sylphs follow us.
The sounds of the pilgrims begins to fade and Sandalphon smiling again turns
towards the central door.

We wait in anticipation and then raising his hands he makes the sigil in front
of the great door.

We watch it open and to our amazement we see before us our own personal
guides.

We move towards them and together we walk deep into the misty indigo light
that swirls around us.
……………………..

We find ourselves rising through the murky light, rising up and up towards the
realms of Yesod above us.

The waters are getting lighter now and we find ourselves preparing to emerge
through the crescent lake of Yesod.

A shimmering light dances on the surface of the ripples above us, and from
our memories of our previous experiences we know that this is the light of the
moon.

And then, finally we emerge as if re-birthing in a channel of watery light, right

into the heart of the subconscious.

There, once again we are here in Yesod.

Once again we can breathe freely and laugh in excitement at the joyous
greeting of the darting Aishim around us.

Hear the sounds of many birds in the air. Just as there were in Malkuth, and
across the rippling waters the silver pagoda seems to shimmer in an iridescent
haze.

Slowly we emerge from the water where Gabriel greets us, smiling at our
excitement. He says nothing but wrapping his mighty wings around us he
shields us from the light above.

We relax for a moment in the warmth of his vitality and life wondering
vaguely how we are going to make the transition to Tiphareth. But we must
rest for a while, content.

But then, almost without warning, we feel an immense pressure surrounding

our heart chakra almost like a feeling of unfolding.

Gabriel sweeps apart his gigantic wings and we rise simultaneously into the
air up, up towards a burning ball of fire above.

For a moment we feel very disoriented but then looking around us we see that
we are standing on the edge of a rainbow bridge that rises high into the sky.

Before us we see an expanse of indigo, the light to all colours of the rainbow.

All the shades from violet to red, sparkling before us and ending, right at the
edge of the rainbow, in an archway of soaring light.

We begin to climb.

Pressing steadily forward.

As we walk we feel a force pressing upon us; affecting us, frustrating us. An
unseen barrier frustrating our progress but we must persevere for this barrier
is natural to those who wish to commune with the soul.

And then, as we walk, the bridge seems to dissolve and we find ourselves
climbing a high hill. It is steep and covered in grass. We find ourselves
oppressively aware of the heat of the sun as it beats down upon us.

But then a shadow drops across our face and looking up gratefully we find
ourselves standing in the shadow of a large wooden cross - and nailed to that
cross is the figure of a man.
We drop to our knees, our head bowed, shocked at the pain of our vision, and
as we do so we hear the soft dry sobs of a woman swathed in black, kneeling
at the foot of the cross.

We stare at her silently sharing deeply her agony and feeling responsible
somehow, yet unable to help.

We look up at the nails streaked in blood and the imprint of pain on the gentle
dying face of the man and slowly the tears of futility and uselessness well into
our eyes.

But then a small voice whispers into our ear, a voice of reassurance and hope.

We are told that over 2,000 years ago a man died on such a cross for us, for
humanity. In doing so took upon his shoulders the weight of karmic conditions
for all of mankind so we may be saved from destruction.

But now, 2,000 years later, it is time for each of us to take responsibility for
our own actions and to prepare ourselves to face the force of our own karma
at the doors of Geburah.

What has been explained is just one aspect of the mysteries of sacrifice and
now Christ, the Redeemer of our Souls, sacrificed for humanity like Odin,
Osiris and Prometheus also. These Great Beings, all of them, make way for
the marriage of mankind to the Will of their own Soul.

Solemnly we contemplate on the seriousness of such a commitment. The

commitment we too are about to make, and in gratitude and recognition to the
one who through his great love has shielded us from this responsibility for so
long, we dip a sponge in water from a bowl at the foot of the cross and raise it
on a pole so those chapped and parched lips may drink.

We remain with head bowed in contemplation but then suddenly a great wind
arises and we hear voices and an immense movement in the sky.

A ripping sound rents the air and a great veil seems to part before us
revealing a golden stairway rising up high before us.
We look up at the cross in bewilderment but a voice in our inner ear bids us to
rise and climb the stairway.

We step onto the golden steps our eyes trained above.

Our feet seem light as if with wings on our heels and we barely touch the
staircase as we go.

Some hidden presence seems to be lifting us and as we go we look upward

and see a blinding arch of light far above us. The portal of Tiphareth. Temple
of the Sun. A vast cathedral, pure white in brilliance yet glowing with multi-
lights of all the colours of the rainbow.

We continue to climb. Slowly but with great certainty now, and as we go, we
find ourselves getting stronger and stronger.

A great power enters our veins and looking down we see we are aglow with
light.

Take your time as you climb, there is still a long way to go. Relish in the
warmth of the presence around you and the lightness of your step. This
presence you feel is the presence of your own Self. Your soul, welcoming you
into the light.

Take your time, and as you get near to the top, you will turn and seat yourself
down in front of the doorway, the golden doorway of the Temple of the Sun.

And now, with the sounds of the desert far below, continue to climb ……
climb.

You reach the top of the stairway radiant with peace and light.

Remain here for a while listening to the sounds of the desert around you.

Use this time to contemplate on your commitment and looking far below, at
that great figure on the cross, think of the mysteries of his sacrifice for you.
His mediation, his great love, and realise that now is the time to help repay
that debt if only in some small way. Think on these things as you listen to the
sound of the storm in the desert around you for very soon we must enter the
Temple of the Sun.

………………….

Once again we find ourselves outside the golden doors of Tiphareth only this
time we are allowed at last to enter.

Make preparation in your mind as you arise from your place at the top of the
stairway. You have travelled far to reach this stage and have cause to
congratulate yourself as you look back over the latter part of your journey. Far
below you the ancient Cross seems to flash suddenly in the light of the Sun.

Start slowly now to walk to the doors of the Temple taking care to shield your
eyes from the glare of the light.

The marble pillars gleam in the sun towering high above you, throwing off
sparks of rainbow light trailing in a misty haze around.

The sounds of the desert mingle with the heavy drone around you and you
become aware of the shimmering light pervading your presence.

Become aware of that presence.

Feel it get stronger and stronger as you walk towards the doors. And finally,
as you stand before them, sparking light seems to throw itself upon you as if in
shining rain. It scatters itself around you seemingly clearing your sight and
allowing yourself clearer vision.

And then, a great wind arises and the vast golden doors open unattended as
you walk inside.

Once through the doors we find ourselves in a great arched cathedral with
vast great windows of sparkling light. For a moment we feel disoriented, the
temple seems to be ringing on its own and then we hear the distant praying of
the pilgrims.

The pilgrims of Tiphareth singing and chanting. But that’s not all that attracts
our attention. This vast cathedral is pervaded with brilliance; beauty in its
majesty.

It has walls of colour, every shade and subtle hue of the rainbow shimmering
with pulsing light and set in the walls are great golden doors that lead to other
paths. We stop for a moment awed by the pure simplicity and majesty of our
surroundings.

The profusion of colour in the walls dazzling our sight, but then, as we get
used to the brilliance, our vision clears and we see four great golden thrones
studded with jewels surrounding the altar. Each situated as if standing guard
in each one of the four quarters and on each throne sits an Elemental King.

As we recognise them they stand and bow to us in turn.

Paralda, Djinn, Nixsa and Ghobe.

Four strange, magnificent creatures, and we are told are the only beings of the
Elemental Kingdom that can claim the automatic right to personal souls.

We realise how lucky we are that each and every person of humanity can
automatically claim that right.

Slowly we step forward towards the central altar, picking our way through a
carpet of rushes and sweet herbs.

A breathtaking perfume of crushed thyme and sweet scented stock fills the
temple and as we reach the altar we see it is made of pure white marble.

A single cube completely unadorned except for a silver chalice bursting with
light so bright we can barely perceive its outline.
We find ourselves kneeling now at the altar staring up at the vast marble
pillars behind wondering what else we can do for there is no-one there to
guide us.

It is then that we see Him.

He appears as if by magic.

A young man of exquisite radiance and wondrous beauty, with a face we

recognise.

He is seated on a marble throne behind the altar.

The brilliance of his aura nearly blinds us at first but soon we can see the
pilgrims of the temple robing him in a cloak of purple and crowning him on
his head with a crown of gold.

We stare, mesmerised and then that same quiet voice that spoke to us on the
hillside whispers again in our ear:

“He that is sacrificed rises again as a victorious King to govern his

Kingdom.

He is the same as the one you saw die.

He is with you always. In the chapel and the great cathedral, in the woods,
at Lamas, and at Stonehenge at Solstice. He is there in the Gnostic mass
and the rituals of the Magi. He is the child you are now and the King you
will be, he wears the nemesis and the crown, the antler horns and the mitre.
He is the Lord in the woods and the dancer on the hill. He is part of you
now, made manifest in your mind at this meeting. And I charge you to seek
him and those like him and to know him wherever and however he is known
to Man. Within the circle on the hill and in the woods. Seek him in the
church of the Christian and the Temple of the Shiva. By the fire of the
Shaman and in the circle of the Wise.
Rejoice when, as the corn King, he is cut down for he goes willingly. Mourn
him not, for when he is raised on the tree he will return.”

The young King smiles and then vanishes in the same way he appeared, and
we are left wondering who spoke the words that whispered in our ear **and
realise it has long been written in the books of the Wise.

Ah, well, maybe we are a little wiser now and our understanding clearer. We
remain kneeling at the altar as we continue to wait. We are aware of a feeling
of great intimacy and warmth and a golden, hazy glow hovering beside us as
we remain lost in thought.

A strong sense of anticipation now fills the air and quite suddenly the silver
chalice on the altar floods with a strange blue light and begins to chime like a
bell.

The voices of the temple pilgrims raise in greeting and we look behind the
altar slightly bemused wondering what we are going to see.

The atmosphere fills with sparkling light - it seems to rain upon us.

A strange bell rings in our ears and slowly we see the image of Raphael,
Archangel of Tiphareth, appear before us dressed in robes of lemon silk.

His great wings half folded behind him, streaked with amber and gold.

Raphael - the gentle archangel of Tiphareth - he carries with him a crystal tray
on which stands a goblet of wine and a platter of new-baked bread. And as he
raises his hand in greeting we see flashes of rainbow light trailing from his
finger-tips.

And then Raphael passes the bread and wine around bidding us to eat and
drink for this represents the body and blood of our soul to which we now
pledge our troth.

And as we do so we become aware of the hazy golden light becoming

blinding in its brilliance. For a moment all seems to go quiet, a gentle wind
cascades around us. We become aware of a strong pulling sensation beside us.

We find ourselves compelled by some hidden force to reach out and touch the
sparkling light, and to our amazement we find ourselves absorbing its
brilliance.

It is a strange sensation as if being touched all over by waves of light. Light

that permeates into every cell and vein in our body.

Feel it rippling through you, reaching out to your finger-tips and toes.

A cascade of light enshrouding you in protection and wondrous love.

As we become aware of an immensity of power filling up inside us, a power

so great, there is healing of all pain. A feeling in the heart as of a flower
bursting into bloom. The great heat pervades us and for a moment there is a
burning sensation behind the eyes. For this is a moment of truth where heart
aligns with heart and mind with mind.

We open our eyes but our sight is bright and crystal clear for we look down
from our body with the eyes of the soul. And when we look down we see that
we too are dressed in a robe of golden silk with a cape of salmon pink, and
there, on our finger is the wedding ring given to us by the Cherubim in the
world of Malkuth.

Slowly we get up from our kneeling position at the altar as the chalice rings
its bell. We walk round the temple in our new found radiance. Stay calm, at
peace and enjoy, for this time is now for you.
……………………

The mighty chalice once again bursts into light as a strange noise arises and
the doors of the temple open.

The sound reaches far inside the temple echoing around the great archway
outside.
Suddenly we find ourselves also outside the temple running down the golden
stairway to the grassy hill below.

But we are not sorry to leave this glorious place for now we are together, our
soul and I - together, the same, but free.

As we reach the bottom of the stairway we see a small child playing with a
dog in the distance where once stood the ancient cross. He looks up from his
play and smiles and waves. He laughs at our amazement

“I am everywhere” - he cries out to us.

“A child, a sacrificed God, a King - I am everywhere” .

On and on we run, playing as children ourselves now.

Down and down, towards the lake of Yesod.

The sounds of the music start to disappear and we find ourselves once again
beside the deep lake of Yesod.

Birds are all around us as before, and we stand waiting.

The lake begins to bubble and we leap in. Down, and down, and down.

Down we drop into the darkness but this time it is penetrated by a strange
azure light that seems to come from our aura.

And then, once again, we find ourselves at the doors of Malkuth.

Sandalphon greets us with a welcoming smile and the elementals as usual,

surround us with joy.

We walk joyously towards the central altar and kneel upon the silken cushions
to bid our farewell.
When we are ready Sandalphon tells us that we must disrobe and leave our
crown and robe at the altar, but we can come again and put them on whenever
we choose.

And the ring?

The ring remains on our finger. A golden band of light shimmering in astral
sight.

And so, when we are ready, we must return to our normal surroundings. But
for now, let us say our goodbyes and thank these gentle people, for today we
have been lucky enough to make a commitment to our soul and that is
something that we should be thankful for, for it will remain with us now for
the rest of our life.

End of Meditation

It is normal to receive information during each meditation. It is a good idea to

make a log of everything you may get. Do not dismiss anything. This record is
useful to refer to and gradually as your awareness increases the bigger picture
will begin to emerge and you may start to see a pattern.
The Spirit of Tiphareth - Heal Thyself
In Yesod, Hod and Netzach the focus is on getting to Know Thyself.

Now, moving into Tiphareth, we learn how to Heal Thyself.

All around the world different traditions offer alternative holistic therapies.

While there may be many different approaches in treatments the one factor
they all appear to agree on is the importance of balance and maintaining
balance.

In Chinese mythology Emperor Fu Xi was an ancient Chinese physician who

believed the way to keep healthy was in maintaining the perfect balance of
the forces of yin (dark) and yang (light). The recognised symbol of yin and
yang is believed to have been created by Emperor Fu Xi. It shows each
element, perfectly balanced, containing the seed of its counterpart. Any
change in balance resulted in dis-ease and illness.

Similarly, the ancient Chinese philosophy of Taoism looks upon the forces of
yin and yang not as opposite to one another but different aspects of the one
energy, with each force containing within it the seed of the other enabling the
yin and yang to complete each other, and flow together, in a way that reflects
the harmony and order of the universe regardless of its continuously changing
form.

As our Sun has to continually adapt and adjust to keep itself alive so too is
the universe constantly changing. The orderly way the universe creates, and
re-creates itself and the merging of differing energies coming together in
unity indicates all change is harmonious.

Our lives also are constantly changing but often it doesn’t take very much to
knock us off balance. The practical Qabalah teachings can help us to regain
our point of equilibrium and move with the changes.

In modern times Chinese therapies still believe in the concept that behind all
phenomena there is an invisible energy force that feeds the universe and
individuals with life. This universal life force (qi) flows through the body,
mind and spirit via a network of branching channels called meridians.
Keeping these channels of energy (meridians) unblocked so the energy can
flow freely is essential, as any blockage or imbalance can lead to illness.

It is extremely difficult to be an effective channel of universal energy unless

we are in balance and clear of blockages.

The most common cause of blockages is linked to emotions and emotional

disturbances.

We can get into the Spirit of Tiphareth, and help ourselves to become
effective channels for our Soul to work through, by consciously striving to
keep our auras clean and our chakras balanced and working properly.

There is no good or bad; superior or inferior chakra.

Each chakra is of equal importance and each relates to a different aspect

within us.

Our chakras need to be in balance to work effectively.

The Big Bang brought light and sound. From the light came the seven colours
of the rainbow. Each colour has its own specific wavelength and vibration,
and resonates with a different area of the body.

Kether, the sephirah at the top of the Tree of Life, known as the Crown, is
associated - on the Briah level - with the colour white.

White is a combination of all the colours of the spectrum and all colour is
light of different wavelengths. Blue has a shorter wavelength than red. When
we look at a rainbow we are seeing the colours spread out according to their
wavelength.

A beam of white light will split into the seven colours of the rainbow when it
passes through a prism. In the same way, the pure white light of Kether
separates as it moves down the Tree. As the light splits, the different colours
work their way down the Tree, through the sephiroth, until they reach us in
manifestation on the Earth plane and feed into our chakras through what we
call the aura.

By working with these different colours we can work on different areas of

our body and help restore balance in over or under active chakras.

As we get to Know Thyself we can learn to Heal Thyself by understanding

how our chakras work and the area of our body affected.

First we must learn how to sense the chakras and become aware of each one
of them.

The Archangel Raphael is the archangel most associated with Tiphareth.

We would use the Temple of Tiphareth to gain balance and for healing.

Green is the colour that links with nature and brings patience, peace and
balance. Green aligns with our heart chakra and is the colour used to restore
harmony in our life.

The following is a simple exercise that can be used to balance and heal the
chakra centres.

Using lavender, lemon or sandalwood essential oils and listening to soothing

music can help to promote a relaxed state.

The following essential oils can also be used to attract Raphael and the
angels of healing:

Lavender
Lemon
Neroli
Pine
Sandalwood
Balance and Heal Chakra Centres
Begin by sitting comfortably in a chair with feet firmly on the ground

Next, invoke the Archangel Raphael and the angels of healing for their
assistance. You can do this by closing your eyes and spending some time
building strong mental images of Raphael, the Temple of Tiphareth and the
angels in your mind

Call upon Raphael to send healing energy. Feel yourself wrapped in his
emerald green healing energy and very slowly, starting with the base chakra,
place your hands over this area. Feel it fill with healing energy. Allow
Raphael to guide your hands and at the same time visualise the healing angels
of Tiphareth blowing all the debris away from the chakra. Watch as the ruby
red colour of the base chakra becomes more vibrant and glows with energy

When you feel the base chakra is balanced and running smoothly, move onto
the next chakra - the sacral centre - and repeat the process.

Work your way through the rest of the chakras: solar plexus, heart, throat,
third eye and crown. When you have worked your way through all the
chakras they should be radiating colour and vibrant energy. Intuitively you
will know when all the chakras have been balanced, energised and are
running smoothly.

Rest your hands gently in your lap, breathe in the emerald-green light that
still surrounds you and thank Raphael and his healing angels for their help.

Remain in that relaxed, peaceful state for as long as you wish and then, when
you are ready, bring your awareness back to everyday consciousness.

Keeping our auras and chakras clean will help to keep us balanced and in
harmony, inside and out.

We can use the healing properties of colour in many ways.

We absorb the colour rays through our eyes, our skin and our aura. Aura
Soma is another way we can balance our energies. It is a combination of light
and colour therapy. During the day rays from the sun cast their light and
energy over minerals and plants. The extracts from those plants and minerals
are collected and used to make the aura soma Quintessences. Absorbing the
energy of these rays can help us to find direction in life, and achieve a
relaxed state in which to meditate.
The word aura refers to the electromagnetic field that surrounds us all. The
word soma is an ancient Greek word for body. Aura soma works on the
vibrations within the body and helps the vibrations and wavelengths, within
the body, to harmonise and function correctly.

As well as light and colour, there is also sound.

The universe is not silent.

Sound in the universe exists as electro-magnetic vibrations. These vibrations

can be detected, recorded and converted, so we can hear them. The
movement of planets as they rotate in space can be heard this way.

The colours of the rainbow can be divided into seven. Sound can also be
divided this way with the seven harmonies in a scale:

1. Doh
2. Ray
3. Me
4. Fah
5. Soh
6. Lah
7. Ti

All of these colours and sounds are vibrating inside of us; we all have our
own personal vibrations, sounds and colours. All the sephiroth on the Tree of
Life resonate with certain vibrations, colours and sounds.

Another way to get into the spirit of Tiphareth is to find your own sound, your
own note or tone, and sing, or hum, it out loud. Practise this somewhere
where you are not likely to be disturbed or distracted. Start by singing it,
gradually getting louder and louder, and then get softer and softer until you
are vibrating the sound internally with no noise being made. Repeat this
exercise as often as you like to help with focus and balance.

Our ancestors treated physical, emotional and spiritual illnesses with colour
and light. In Heliopolis, an ancient city of the Sun, healing temples existed
that were charged with colour and light.

Immersing one self with colour, sound and vibration can energise and lift us,
and make us feel more alive. It also helps us to tune into our higher selves,
our intuition.
Experiencing Tiphareth
One way we can get into the experience of Tiphareth is to spend some time
meditating in the Temple of the Sun to try to connect with our soul.

The aura soma Christ Quintessence can be used to help us to focus on our
function or task here on Earth.

We can also attempt to connect with our soul and heal ourselves through the
use of Yoga.

Yoga is not only a gentle form of exercise. The positions practised, called
asanas, are designed to promote relaxation, and help with correct breathing
and nutritional intake. Through meditation the aim is to set oneself free from
the cycles of birth, death and rebirth, and to connect with the Divine.

Meditation not only helps us to find spiritual enlightenment it can also

promote health benefits, soothing and relaxing the mind, and reducing stress.

The aura soma Quintessence of Saint Germain can be used for healing
generally but is particularly useful in helping with healing meditations.

The Yogic belief is that cosmic energy (prana) enters the body as we breathe
and, like the Chinese philosophy of qi, prana flows through an invisible
network of channels called nadis. The prana energy promotes good health
and vitality when able to flow freely through these channels (nadis) filling
the body with energy and clearing it of impurities. The idea is to control this
healing energy through the breath, and store and direct it to the parts of the
body throughout the day when and where it is needed.

We can get into the experience of Tiphareth by exploring some of these

techniques and finding a way that helps us to raise our vibrations and connect
with our higher selves.

Through practise, if we listen carefully, we may even hear the name of our
soul being given to us.
It is important for us to remember that if we wish to pursue spiritual work,
and be of service in some way to humanity, we must be prepared to work on
ourselves and help our Self rise above the level of the personality when
times are challenging and throwing us off-balance.
Devotion to the Great Work
The virtue of Tiphareth is Devotion to the Great Work.

As well as each of us having a personal guide that stays with us throughout

our life we also have a soul guide that helps us to make the transition from
the level of the personality to the level of the soul. The Soul guide remains in
attendance in the background and only moves in to help us when we
recognise there is more to us than just our physical bodies and personalities,
and when we indicate we are ready to explore the Bigger Picture.

There is a difference between a personal spirit guide and soul guide.

Whereas our personal guide is always on hand to help us on an emotional

level, our soul guide works from a higher stand point and does not get
involved in personal matters and cannot help a personality that is not ready
or will not rise above petty day to day issues.

Soul guides are not limited to overseeing the development of just one soul,
they also oversee the progression of other souls at the same time and there
may come a time during these phases of learning and growth when -
depending on how the individual is progressing - other more advanced
guides will move in to take over the tuition.

In the event a person is not able to raise themselves beyond the level of the
personality, the soul guide will retreat until such time when the individual
indicates they are ready to try again.

It is the easiest thing in the world to go around reacting to this and that, and
even though life may not appear to be fair at times it is not our place to cast
judgement on others.

We must only judge ourselves in any given situation and focus on how we
handle events, situations and people.

There are far more evolved beings whose role it is to keep the balance of
karma steady which we will explore in the realms of Geburah, sephirah
number 5.

Through the Eyes of the Soul
Record Sheet
Recording events and personal responses can be invaluable for future
reference.

If at first you don't seem to see much in the meditation, don't worry. This will
likely improve as you go on.

Concentrate on what you do get, rather than what you don’t and give yourself
plenty of time to peruse on it. It is often surprising what you can glean from a
seemingly duff meditation.

Note: if you would like to print off this page it can be downloaded at the
Order of the White Lion site.

Mood beforehand:

Scenery by the edge of the waterfall. How did the water feel?

Did you see your Real Self? What did the Voice reveal to you?

Did you walk up the golden stairway? Were you alone?

How did you feel inside the crystal pyramid?

Did you see and talk to your guardian angel?

What answers did your guardian angel give you?

How did you feel? Did you feel at peace?

Message / symbolism:

Overall learning from the meditation:

TIPHARETH CONSOLIDATION
In Tiphareth we get the opportunity to connect and commune with the Soul. In
exchange for this we are asked to give something in return, a sacrifice;
something we are willingly prepared to give up.

It is essential we make the effort to raise our vibrations to connect with the
soul. The sacrifice that we choose could be in the form of giving up more of
our time. This time could be used to meditate to connect with our soul or soul
guide, or it could be used to heal and balance our energies.

We must also remember the vice of Tiphareth (inability to ask for help) and
not fall foul of false pride. If we need help, we must ask for it but we must
also be prepared to help ourselves.

Socrates, the Greek philosopher stated:

“There is no illness of the body apart from the mind”.

Although this may be true, for those who need a little more help there is a
huge range of alternative holistic therapies. Holistic medicine focuses on
educating ourselves and taking responsibility for the effort we personally
make to achieve balance and a state of well-being.

Acupuncture, aroma therapy, aura soma, crystal healing, Bach remedies,

homeopathy, reflexology, reiki ........ these are just some of the alternative
methods we can use to heal and balance the energies within.

Work done on the lower sephiroth getting to Know Thyself should never be
underestimated. To be of useful service to others we must know ourselves so
well we can foresee what is likely to throw us off-balance and understand
ourselves well enough to know how we can restore that balance and heal
ourselves. We will only be able to see the Bigger Picture and sense the
guiding force of our Soul, and soul guide, when we are centred and calm.

We are all each others teacher; we can all learn from one another, and we
each have the power in our thoughts and actions to send out energy which can
either heal or disrupt.

“There is a light in this world, a healing spirit more powerful than any
darkness we may encounter.

We sometimes lose sight of this force when there is suffering, too much
pain.

Then suddenly, the spirit will emerge through the lives of ordinary people
who hear a call and answer in extraordinary ways.”
Mother Teresa

And last, but not least ........

Tiphareth aligns with the Sun and astrologically the Sun rules over the sign of
Leo. Leo is the sign of the zodiac that loves to have fun. Archetypally Leo
rules the 5th house, the house of pleasure, fun and hobbies.

It is well documented the effect stress and negative emotions can have on the
body but if negative emotions can produce unhealthy changes in the body
surely the opposite can have equally potent results.

Laughter can be very therapeutic. Not only can it lift our mood, it sends out
positive ripple effects. So,

Don’t forget to Laugh today

and

Wear a Smile - it is the most attractive thing we can put on!

Worlds Apart
Written by Jenni Shell, founder of the Mystery School of Maat and The Order
of the White Lion, this book describes the motivation behind her life’s work.
Available in paperback, Kindle and iBooks format.

In this highly inspiring autobiography, Jenni Shell traces the circumstances

and consequences of traumatic events in two early childhoods: the one of her
mother in the Edwardian era, and her own in the last years of the Second
World War and after.

Although her mother had been diagnosed with a form of schizophrenia, there
were indications that she might have been silenced, and it became her
daughter’s heartfelt commitment to bring to light the ‘truth’ about what might
have been a tragic misdiagnosis.

Trying to understand her mother’s suffering led the young woman to discover
spiritual meaning in many so-called ‘delusional’ realities and
synchronicities, which seemed to contradict her traditional upbringing. We
become witness to a life-long search in an attempt to reconcile reason,
practicalities and the soul’s cosmic way of communication, and how this
experience led her into mediating and teaching what she had learnt to many
others.

Worlds Apart is, in a personal sense, a late and moving story of redemption:
an account of the never told events that triggered her mother’s illness, and
ultimately the path of healing commenced in the next generation.

In 1981 Jenni founded Maat – a Qabalah or mystery school designed to

inspire individuals to put into practice their life as personality, soul and
spirit, beyond any rigid perspective. Well over 6,000 people from all walks
of life attended, and have had the chance to work closely with this powerful,
down to earth and modest teacher.

Despite her exposure to the public, Jenni has not sought a great deal of public
attention. Worlds Apart shows why. Her whole life’s focus - initially
triggered by family trauma – has always remained in exploring the fine line
between what can be misunderstood as mental illness on the one hand, and
the urgent language of spiritual impressions on the other. Students felt
attracted to and deeply understood by this approach.

The need to understand the vital forces of the psyche and adjust one’s life
practically in order to grow as a human being, has always been at the centre
of her life and teachings.

Tree of Life workbooks in the series

The following workbooks are step by step guides, designed for beginners to
aid the student on their journey of self discovery exploring the Qabalistic
Tree of Life.

As in all things, a good place to start is at the beginning and the sephirah of
the Earth Plane:

Malkuth - The Kingdom

When studying the Qabalah we often start off at the bottom of the Tree of
Life, and begin by familiarising ourselves with the sephirah of the Earth
Plane known as The Kingdom. The Hebrew name for this sephirah is
Malkuth. Malkuth represents the physical plane - the world we live in, and
the way we handle the energy of the material world. We would look to the
Temple of Malkuth to help us find answers if we are having problems
keeping ourselves grounded; experiencing challenging issues around money,
or if we want to find solace and peace to enable us to re-coup lost energy.

Yesod - The Foundation

The temple of Yesod is a beautiful sea temple. This sephirah focuses on the
power of our subconscious; our emotional foundation and emotional stability.
Yesod also links us to the Astral Worlds and Spirit Guides. We would look to
the Temple of Yesod for help with the responsive process; handling
emotional reactions; connecting with our personal guides, and accessing past
life information.

Hod - Splendour of the Mind

The sephirah Hod focuses on our Attitude and the power of Thought. Here
we explore the Tunnel of the Mind and become more consciously aware of
the sort of images we build in our mind. We would look to the Ice temple of
Hod to help us to examine our attitude, and change any images that may be
negative to our growth. Hod also helps us to build positive imagery eg.
Magical Images; to form commitments, and to find the real truth of our
thoughts.

Netzach - Victory over Feelings

The teachings of Netzach help us to gain Victory over our Feelings and lift
ourselves out of the restrictions of the personality, helping us to raise to the
level of the soul - the sephirah Tiphareth. Netzach acts as a springboard to
the upper part of the Tree, but first we have to become aware of how we
really feel, and explore our attitude towards relationships - including the
relationship we have with Self. Netzach helps us to discover the true nature
of who we really are; the magic that lies hidden within just waiting to be
brought to life. We would look to the Emerald temple of Netzach for creative
inspiration; to help us deal with polarity and relationship issues, and to
connect with the magical energy of the rawness of nature.

Tiphareth - Devotion to the Great Work

The sephirah Tiphareth takes us into the realms of the Soul where we get the
opportunity to connect and commune with the soul and higher more evolved
guides. The virtue of Tiphareth is Devotion to the Great Work and it is
important for us to remember that if we wish to pursue spiritual work and be
of service in some way to others we must be prepared to work on ourselves,
and help our Self rise above the level of the personality when times are
challenging. Tiphareth helps us to heal ourselves so we may remain
balanced and in harmony no matter what is happening in our everyday lives.

Geburah - Vision of Power

In Geburah we become aware of mightier forces and begin to understand the
role of the Soul, and the purpose of Karma. The challenges we face in this
life are linked to our past lives. Geburah helps to expose traits within our
personality that bind us to the continuous cycle of birth, death and rebirth,
and reveals the links we share with others.

It is in Geburah that we experience the Will of the Soul.

Chesed - Mercy
Chesed is where the journey really begins. Part One of Chesed takes us in
Search of the Truth. Here we explore the Bigger Picture and attempt to
strengthen our connection with the Teachers of Humanity - evolved Masters
who can teach us how to walk in Time with the natural order of the Universe
thus drawing us nearer to finding peace for the soul.

In Chesed Workbook Two we learn about the Evolution of Flame and the first
wave of creation. This workbook raises our awareness of the role the angels
and archangels play in the bigger picture, and how they can help us on our
journey to enlightenment. In the Temple of Chesed we may catch a glimpse of
the part we play in the grand scheme of Life, and find out how we too may be
of service to others - just as the Masters, who have walked this journey
before us, have been in service to us.
Binah - Understanding
Binah represents the Womb of Creation and Mother of Form.

In this sephirah, at the top of the black pillar of Form, we explore the
Principles of Sound and learn how to Silence the Conscious Mind to hear the
call of the Spiritual Mother who watches over her children.

Binah is Aima - the bright, fertile Mother of Creation and Ama - the dark,
sterile Mother of the Underworld.

It is in Binah that we examine the roots of our Faith and look deeper into the
Four Worlds and extended Tree of Life.

Chokmah Soul Functions

In Chokmah we explore the force of our Creative Power and decide how we
can be of Service to Humanity. This Workbook is an Introduction to Soul
Functions and can be used in conjunction with the Chokmah Workbooks.
Most people are unaware of their Soul Functions or how to perform them in
everyday life. To realise our full potential we need to know how to direct
our creative power. The Soul Function Workbook explains in more detail
what the functions mean and how to recognise them.

Chokmah - Wisdom
Chokmah is the sephirah of Freedom and Spiritual Truths. It is the sephirah
that aligns with the Will of the Spirit and Spiritual Direction. In this region
of the Tree of Life the aim is to contact our creative power, and bring it down
to earth.

In Chokmah Workbook One we explore how we use the senses and how we
can further stimulate and balance the two hemispheres of the brain to spark
the sixth sense (intuition) and third eye into action.

Chokmah is also the sephirah of Wisdom.

In Chokmah Workbook Two the emphasis is on Divine Wisdom and looking

at ways to enter inner worlds of existence. This helps us to develop our
psychic ability, and gain insights pertaining to the destiny and spiritual
direction of the whole of humanity.

Kether - the Crown

Situated at the top of the Tree of Life on the middle pillar of equilibrium,
Kether represents Spiritual Perfection. At this level we are dealing with the
intangible. Therefore, as with all the previous sephiroth in this series of
workbooks, the approach to Kether is a practical one. In this workbook we
attempt to see through the veil of our earthly perceptions. We explore the
existence of other dimensions and try to connect with more advanced
energies, and - by using an Inner Spirit Meditation - enter the dwelling place
of our spirit.
