Brief Description of Company:

OREL Vision Private Limited is a diverse company specialized in the innovative design and manufacturing of
drones used for various purposes. OREL Vision constitutes a team of experts from Machine Learning, Artificial
Intelligence, Agriculture, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Sciences and Management.
Fusion of these areas widen the scope of expertise and diversify the skill-set of the company. The core
competency of the company is provision of drones that are duly equipped with agricultural, defense, and survey
facilities.
Mission:
 To be preferred drone company for farmers, engineers, and defense organizations
 To be preferred business associates and suppliers of drones by providing prioritizing quality of
products and services.
 To be preferred on the basis of our socio-environmental sustainability approach.

OREL Vision is an AI, ML-based Company exclusively working on Drone Technology for agriculture. We
are also offering solutions in SMART technology. Particularly in agriculture technology, Agri-Tech
smart drones for land survey, land settlement, disease, and pathogen detection. There are specialized
drones for detecting crops, hazardous plants, and areas, and Agri-Tech drones for spray services. The
team of OREL Vision is actively working on agriculture production restoration and enhancement
through precision agriculture.

In conventional farming, the farmers lack resources, information, and technology that directly affect
the crop yield and lead to food insecurity. While, in precision agriculture, all the activities of modern
farming are performed through high-tech methodology and equipment to increase crop productivity.
SMART Agriculture and precision technologies cover all agriculture domains, including land
preparation, leveling, soil sampling, irrigation, high yield producing seed sowing, fertilizing, crop
health monitoring (pest, weed, disease control), monitoring plant physiological parameters with
planned harvesting.

With the help of precision farming, we are economic, social, and environmental advantages compared
to traditional agriculture. Crop productivity can be increased by reducing soil, air, and water pollution.
By using small resources, farmers can maintain their farms and fields by monitoring the crop and soil
parameters. Precision farming is also beneficial in the reduction of greenhouse gases emission
ultimately, improving climate health. There are multiple types of fertilizer like organic fertilizer, NPK,
Iron, Sulphur, depends on the land and its nutrients requirements. Sowing harvesting, monitoring
protection, Climate change, environmental protection, Modern high tech all are the modules of
Precision agriculture, and without this module, we cannot attain high productivity with fewer effort or
energy.

OREL Vision has prepared this proposal by keeping in mind the utmost importance of precision
farming and the use of Agri-tech prototypes to restore the crop yield within the limited resources of
the country.

Achievements made so far:

Stating for precision agriculture, we first attempted to know about the crop. For this purpose, we have
started to work on crop detection through state-of-the-art deep learning models and using our custom
deep learning models. The land levelling and land measurement for crop cultivation and crop health is
too much important for the sake we started us high tech for land measurement techniques and then
landed levelling through laser land laver tech.
Most of the activity must be done through UAV (DIY); we developed our own DIY Customized drone for
this purpose. We deployed some sensors on these drones like Multispectral Sensors for the Crop
Identification Classification, Crop Health, and Monitoring purpose. We deployed an RGB camera on
these drones to get the Datasets of different crops and fields and then process these datasets images
on detection/classification algo. Then we prepare a spray drone of high payload using a gasoline engine
rather than the old practice of using changed backup with multiple sensor techniques and spray.

Message
Solution OREL Vison Offering:
The increasing demand of food production and consumption against lower supply has made the farming industry
vulnerable globally. In these critical times, there is a need to modernize farming with new technologies and time
saving research facilities. To achieve sustainable farming goals, agronomists and agricultural engineers have suggested
the use of drones for crop monitoring, robust data collection, and streamline the operations. UAVs are significantly
contributing towards the careful monitoring of large scale farmlands such as slope and elevations for accurate seed
prescription. Moreover, drone’s high-resolution specification aids the agricultural professionals to identify the fertility
levels to apply fertilizer, reduce waste and troubleshooting irrigation issues. Additionally, drone imagery provides
more efficient and cost-effective way to assess crop health even in cloudy days when satellites could not provide
accurate data. Thus, the issues to achieve sustainable farming have been dealt by our agro-drone product.
What results could the company create for customers?
The company has deployed a team of researchers and developers on the task to identify the existing agricultural
issues. The most prominent problems identified by the team were related to food, water, and energy nexus. These
three indicators were interrelated and needed some technological integration to be optimized. Therefore, the team
investigated every indicator individually and concluded that a sustainable innovation is the need of time. Explicit
investigation of farming in Pakistan concluded that irrespective of neighboring countries, Pakistan is still focusing
conventional farming techniques. There came the role of our company to develop a sustainable, efficient, and
effective agro-drone. Current development of drone could ease the farmers with capabilities such as high resolution,
ability to carry payload of 25-30 kg, can fertilize the whole land in 1-2 rounds. These results could be huge
achievement to monitor, apply fertilizer, and reduce waste and troubleshooting irrigation issues.

How the company will create aforementioned result?

The company has the capability to produce aforementioned results as the company has a strong team of experts from
different national and international forums. These experts have capacity in different areas such as electrical
engineering, mechanical engineering, machine learning, computer sciences, electronics engineering, artificial
intelligence and management. This chunk is a combination of diverse skill-set that aids the company to develop
anything while drone is the major theme of the company. However, the company needs resources to develop a fully
functional product based on ISO-9001, ISO-14001, and OHSAS-18001.
Who does the company serve?
The company serves the agricultural sector explicitly aiding the farmers, agricultural engineers and agronomists.
Implicitly, the company serves engineers in large-scale construction and generally have the capability to serve the
armed forces for surveys.
Why do we do what we do?
We have recognized the need of agricultural markets around the globe, made a plan to fulfill the need with our team.
Finally, to facilitate the farmers and adding ease to their lives, we have developed mechanical designs of the drones
and we are currently ready to start our production. This product will add value to the agricultural industry and save
time for the farmers and agronomists thereby sparing time for research and development.

Why should you choose us over the competition?

When talking about competitors in local markets, the drone we offer is explicitly manufactured for agricultural
purposes. Our competitors do have capabilities in military UAVs, civilian UAVs, Aerial Targets, etc. However, the range
of values we offer is explicitly adding values in local agricultural markets thereby aiding the development of national
economy. In comparison to the core-competencies of our competitors, we are strongly motivated to conquer those
domains as soon as our setup grows.
Estimated Size of Target Market:

According to agriculture department of Punjab, the land utilization statistics are show in the table below:
Pakistan
Land Utilization
(Area in Million Hectares)
Geographical Area 79.61
Forest area 4.55
Not available for cultivation 23.10
Culturable waste 8.27
Cultivated area 22.07
Total reported area 57.99
Current fallow 6.69
Net area sown 15.38
Area sown more than once 7.30
Total cropped area 22.68

Intensity of land use which indicates the extent to which the cultural land was used for production can be calculated
as 38.05 million hectares which is very less then total reported area i.e. 57.99 million hectares. This needs optimization
of land being used for cultivation, however there are several operational restrictions on grass-root levels.

The optimization of farming process can be carried out when the farmer gets the time to understand the ongoing
scenario. On contrary, when the farmer cultivates the land with conventional process, the cycle continues and either
farmers are not ready to learn modern farming techniques or they are scared of the costs they need to face while
modernizing or digitalization of conventional farming. Therefore, an extensive research has been conducted through
various platforms which has indicated that the use of drones in existing scenario of agriculture could embed the first
step towards modern agriculture.
The company has adopted the conclusions from modern agricultural research and has the motivation to cover all the
farmers, agriculturists, agronomists, soil sciences experts, agricultural engineers, and seed developers in the total area
of the country to adopt the agro-drone designed and manufactured by Pakistan which allow them to speed up their
research and development activities. These motives in a targeted area mentioned in the table above are expected to
be implemented from grass-root level and our product could play the lead role in this perspective.

Product: Agro-Drone
Results: It has the capability to lift payload either its fertilizer or pesticides up-to 20kg and it would spry 6-7 hectares
area in one hour.
Impact:
In the scorching heat during summers and harsh environment conditions during winters, our farmers go out in the
fields to fertilize the lands or apply pesticides to the crops. They are out there in the fields trying to lift whole economy
but with the conventional procedures, the crops production is not enough to feed industrial and commercial needs.
Our product will help them save their time and learn modern farming techniques that could help them to optimize
crop production. Agro-Drone save them from harsh environmental conditions and help them to learn crop
optimization thereby assisting sustainable agricultural goals.
Benefits”
In Pakistan’s economy, agriculture contributes 26% to GDP and makes the backbone of our country. Mostly
farmers are not familiar with the latest information and technology, and only following the conventional
methods preached by their forefathers. However, foreign countries have been experimenting and
discovering new ways to minimize the input of resources, energy and laborious work. And they have
ultimately found the solution in precision agriculture to maximize the yield with less expenditure and been
implementing it everywhere.

Precision agriculture works with the primary aim to ensure quality, sustainability and efficient working while
protecting the environment, reducing the harmful impact of agricultural activities on climate. Precision
agriculture precisely work with individual crops, monitor its needs and increase the productivity of the crop.
With the help of this project, farmers can increase the yield, timely identify the diseases, pests and weeds. It
will also be more economical and environment friendly technology. The key benefit points that will directly
decrease the expenditure includes the Variable rate fertilizer application, Variable rate irrigation and
Normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI). The prices of fertilizers are increasing gradually, and you
cannot recognize the needs of your crop unless you monitor it thoroughly.

With our technology, farmers will get a reasonable, high-quality package that will enhance the crop and land
sustainability with its precision parameters. In accordance to agricultural parameters, when your crop cycle
will be optimized it will directly increase the land market value. The significant benefit of precision
technology lies in the protection of environment by reducing the waste of chemicals in air, water and soil.
Precision farming is being actively acquired at the international and national level by farmers because of the
food and resources shortage. The traditional use of fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides are polluting the
environment and are participating in greenhouse effect and climate change. While this project will provide
real time information and will give you real time analysis of your field by using multispectral images.

In Pakistan, a major part of population constitutes youth, who are educated and well-informed with the
modern technologies. So, this project will provide opportunities for such people to be involved in agriculture
and explore this area to contribute to the economy of the country. Conclusively, precision agriculture is the
solution to surpass the agriculture constraints and improve climate resilience.

Risks and Contingency Plan

 The risks increase significantly the larger the UAV becomes. Weight over 3.5kg and containing
batteries that may cause fire on impact there is significant potential to cause damage to property
or persons on the ground when used incorrectly.
 The risk of AI program damage is important. Because if AI program may damage then the images
taken by the embedded camera will not be used.
 Storage device is used to store the pictures taken by the drone camera. If storage device damage
then there will not be anything to store the pictures.
 If any other technical damage happen in the wires which stop the working of the drone during
flight then it will be dangerous for humans to handle it.

 Drones are not by any means fool-proof equipment. Despite their high-powered, state-of-the-art
technology showcasing increasingly longer-range times, drones are largely dependent on
weather conditions. Inclement weather can vastly disrupt the overall performance of a
drone, with wind and rainy conditions being among the most problematic. The image quality is
affected when there are heavy rains.

 Lower-end, cheaper drones are infamous for their short flight times and pose many frustrations
for agricultural producers who desire a performance drone that stays powerful in the air with a
substantial range.

 Initial startup costs for drone aircraft have proven to be exceptionally costly for the average
farmer and small agriculture producers. Cheaper drones can be readily purchased but require
heavy research into models that are appropriate for robust use in agricultural applications. Often,
less costly drones will come unequipped with the tools necessary to perform mechanisms that
are vastly important to farming and production such as real-time crop surveillance and near-
infrared light technology to gauge overall crop health.
