Restaurant/ Menu Lesson

This is a follow up lesson after teaching the pages in the “Hey” book
relating to food and master chef.

In a fun way we cover all skills.

First we go over vocabulary words with pictures relating to food/menu

together in class.

Than we watch a video showing a family in a restaurant ordering food

from a waiter. This works on their listening comprehension skills.

Next in groups we have the pupils read a text that we wrote out for them.
The text is about a customer in a restaurant ordering food from a waiter.
They need to understand the text and fill out the missing sentences. This
works on their reading comprehension skills and writing skills.

Finally we have the pupils act out the dialog between customers and a
waiter. All students take an active Roll and they can be as creative as
they wish to be – this works on their speaking skills.

Final assessment- in small groups the pupils get the menu page and each
pupil gets to say food that he/she likes and create their own menus.
