PROJECT OVERVIEW
Project: Students will be required to design and select the appropriate air-conditioning and ventilation system (s)
for one of the four given building applications:

• Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

• Office Building
• Home Movie Theatre
• Funeral Home

The layout of each building space is given, displaying the rooms that all require air-conditioning. Therefore,
students will be required to:

• List the requirements for each room.

• List the type of AC system most suitable for each room in the building and give reasons(s) for each choice.
• Choose the appropriate ventilation system or method of supplying ventilation to each space.
• List all specific materials required for the job.
• Create a layout for the selected equipment and materials.
• Provide the installation procedures for each type of system.
• Estimate the time to complete the job.
• Create a Gantt Chart detailing the tasks at hand and the estimated time delivery for each milestone.
• Create a maintenance schedule for the building.
• Create a list of the materials and tools required for maintenance.
• Create maintenance sheets/forms that can be used during maintenance.

Students are expected to utilize the content learned throughout the course and to conduct additional research
(PLAGARIZING IS NOT ALLOWED).
