CONNECTING EQUIPMENT
Similarly, this warranty will be void if any modifications, changes or additions are made to the equipment
by anyone other than UltraTecno-Ultrasonidos Lover, without our written consent.
The manufacturer reserves the right to make changes and improvements in designs or materials in the
interest of offering a finer product.
The ultrasonic cleaning is usually quick (several minutes) for submerged components. The process is
considerably quicker and the effectiveness increases if hot liquids are used.
ADVANTAGES
The ultrasonic cleaning of industrial pieces has following advantages:
1. The results obtained cannot be achieved by conventional procedures (especially for difficult or delicate
pieces).
2. It avoids manual cleaning
3. It is cost-effective since it allows for significant cost reductions in manpower and generally solvent.
4. It provides a solution for a work that is difficult to assign due to its nature.
All process of ultrasonic cleaning requires the immersion of the components in a liquid that should satisfy
two conditions. Firstly, it should possess solvent or humectant properties that break the external film,
thus eliminating the dirt. Secondly, the liquid should not attenuate the ultrasonic vibration; neither should
it lose effectiveness by the action of the ultrasonic waves.
The ultrasonic waves ensure that the whole surface of the components is contacting the cleaning liquid,
allowing the liquid to penetrate in usually inaccessible places. Both solvents and detergents are more
effective if applied warm; the working temperature must be determined for each application depending
generally on the type of pieces and material to clean.
EQUIPMENT DIMENSIONS
The equipment dimensions can vary according to the type and number of pieces that must be cleaned and
to the cleaning time. We especially warn buyers not to acquire equipments whose features and
effectiveness are below the required level.
Ultrasonic cleaning time will be different depending on size and material of pieces to be clean, kind of
dirt/grease/carbon to be removed, water tank temperature, chemical cleaning product used, etc. You can
adjust the Automatic Cycle Time in Working Parameters Screen. Your own experience will teach you the
right cycle duration to be used in each case.
ELEVATOR
Used to easily place pieces to clean inside tank. It can be operated fully manual at all times in Manual
mode. In Automatic mode, elevator will be in up position before start of the cicle. Once cycle is started, it
will do down with pieces. It will perform agitation during Automatic mode when programmed. During
cleaning time in Automatic mode, it can be operated by pressing Up & Down buttons (to check piece
status, for example).
Please, remind to open cover always before raising elevator with pieces, to avoid damage to cover. At
the end of Automatic cycle, a warning message will remind about this.
In Automatic Mode, Laminar Flow will start once cleaning cycle is finished. It will stop when operators
press UP button in order to raise elevator (or after 10 min working). In Manual Mode, Laminar Flow will
work upon demand, by pressing its button. Laminar flow is generated by a pump.
In Automatic mode, agitation duration will be done as percentage from total cycle time. You can set this %
in Working Parameters screen for short, medium & long cycles. Agitation time will be always made at the
end of cycle.
PNEUMATIC BLOWER
Once pieces are cleaned, and before taking them from elevator’s tray, you can use Pneumatic Blower in
order to remove water from inside piece (holes, etc.)
Corrosive. When handling them always use security glasses, mask and gloves.
When is “the end” for the bath? It happens when the cleaning process last a longer time than usual.
Based on experience.
To add new fresh chemicals to a dirty bath is not worthy. Best results will be achieved changing the
whole bath when saturation occurs.
PDU-40 is sold pure, whilst a specific additive can be used to increase process speed.
3. When temperature reaches 40º C, Turn on Ultrasound System, to start degassing process. This will
improve cleaning performance, as existing gas on tap water will absorb energy released from
cavitation.
Chemicals
4. At 70ºC, chemicals can be added. Use Initial Screen
Calculator at Touch Screen for recommended
concentrations.
When adding fresh water, full degassing takes up to 4-8 hrs, so equipment won’t have full performance
until then.
You can test slight different concentrations, inside ranges provided, at your own experience.
If the water temperature falls under 10ºC, the dust will deposit on the bottom of the tank. In this case, the
machine will not clean properly, even if we heat the water up to 80ºC.
Machine has to be well leveled regarding to floor, so this oil removing device works properly. You can
also use a small saucepan or strainer for this purpose.

Indicator
In Manual Mode, you can monitor from touch screen the activity of the equipment systems, by
reading the status indicators shown for each function:
Elevator Raising: will light when air pressure is applied to elevator to raise
Elevator Lowering: will light when air pressure is applied to elevator to go down
Elevator Full Down Position: will light when elevator is in full down position inside tank
Elevator Agitation Position: will light when elevator reaches agitation position (15 cm
distance from low position). This point is used to determine return position in agitation
system.
Heating System: will light when electrical resistances are working. This will happen when
Heating System is ON, and tank temperature is below Set Point fixed in. This indicator also is
shown in Automatic Mode.
Laminar Flow Pump: will light when Laminar Flow Pump is working. This will happen when
Laminar Flow System is ON, and pump is working following pattern fixed in Laminar Flow
Setup Screen for working and waiting times.
Ultrasound System Working: will light when Ultrasound System is being enabled from PLC.
AUTOMATIC MODE
In Automatic Mode, cleaning and agitation times are controlled by the
machine, so operator presence is not required during cleaning cycle.
At the end of each Automatic Cycle, the ultrasounds will stop and the tray will keep in full down position.
Laminar Flow Pump will start in order to clean water surface from oil & grease prior to piece extraction.
Elevator will raise the tray when operator press UP button, after verifying oil has been removed from
water surface and confirms cover has been opened (so pieces in tray won’t hit cover).

Indicator
Switches ECO Mode ON/OFF. Use ECO mode for quickly setting a lower Set
Point for Temperature Control at Main Tank. Use Eco Mode to decrease
heat losses while machine is not working (at night). New Set Point must be
high enough to allow a quick heating back to working temperature.
This message is shown when the Automatic Cycle ends. At this point, Laminar Flow System will start, and
machine will show this message. Once user checks Laminar Flow has removed oil from surface, can open
cover and press UP button. This will stop Laminar Flow and raise elevator so parts can be extracted. In
case user doesn’t give confirmation after 10 minutes, Laminar Flow system will stop, and parts will keep
inside until user presses UP button.
Enter the desired percentage (%) of cycle being done with up-down moving system. This time will be
executed at the end of the cleaning cycle.
Times & percentages can be changed during automatic cleaning. In this case, they will be refreshed by
pressing Short or Long Cycle buttons in Automatic Mode Screen.
Special Stop&Go Mode useful for Degas tank water when first used & for some special
cleaning situations (when available)
Tank Temperature ECO mode (ºC): Use ECO mode for quickly setting a lower Set Point for Temperature
Control at Main Tank. Eco Mode will decrease heat losses while machine is not working (at night). New Set
Point must be high enough to allow a quick heating back to working temperature.
1. Floating dirt can be removed with Oil Free LFS Separation system. Then, extract from auxuliary tank.
2. Heavier dirt will lay at tank’s floor, being enough room to keep it there until next tank emptying.
3. Dirt mixed in suspension with water & chemicals can be filtered using our optional stainless steel filter:
A B
FILTER
Valve A: Filter
Valve B: Open
Valve A: Filter
Note: Filtering will not start if any Automatic Mode is working. Automatic Modes can not be started if
filtering is working.
Automatic pressure detector will stop pump if pressure inside filter is higher than 3 bar.
Valve B: Closed
Water OFF: Automatic filling will not work. Machine will stop & LOW WATER
LEVEL sign will be shown when sensor detects minimum water level.
Water AUTO: When sensor detects minimum water level, water filling valve will be opened for
selected time (see next). Machine will pause laminar flow/filtering pump temporally to help
auxiliary tank refilling. If machine is not recovering water working level soon, machine will stop &
LOW WATER LEVEL sign will be shown as some problem with water supply could be happening.
You can control electrical power consumption being used by each equipment device: Ultrasound
Generator, Heating System, Laminar Flow Pump and Stand-by Time. You can even calculate money cost by
entering kWh cost at your country.
Installed kW for each device are entered at Advanced Mode Setup Screen (accessible only with password
by technical service).
You can access Heating Temerature Graph (96 hr) our Ultrasounds On/Off Graph (24 hr) by clicking over
“Heating” or “Ultrasounds” signs on Energy Consumption Screen:
AUTO START: Select day and time for heating system to start. For example, 3 h before you start cleaning,
so water will be at right temperature for then. You can choose this to be done once, or every week. If you
started system previously manually, Auto Start will not affect.
AUTO STOP: Select day and time for heating system to stop. For example at the end of week, so heating
system will turn off (in case you forget to make it). You can choose this to be done once, or every week. If
you stopped system previously manually, AutoStop will not affect.
ECO MODE: Choose what time Eco Mode will be connected and/or disconnected each day. At the end of
every day, Eco Mode ON will decrease Set Point (see Setup Scree), helping to reduce power consumption
during night. Set Eco Mode OFF enough time
before you start cleaning next day, so water will
be at right temperature for that time. Default Eco Mode Temp is 60ºC. For that temperature, you will
need 1 hour aprox to raise temp again to 80ºC.
If you want to cancel programmed cycle before it starts, press Cancel button at this screen, or Stop button
at automatic cycle screen. Note: Press over Actual Time to change it in case it’s not correct.
CLEANING PRODUCT CALCULATOR
Use it to easily calculate how much chemicals do you need to add to prepare new bath.
Recommended values are always shown, but you can modify desired concentration up to your own
experience.
In that case, go to Maintenance screen and check with operation has to be done (red flashing light). Once
maintenance is done, press its green button. Alarm for that operation will be re-programmed for next
maintenance, using Frequency parameter. You can change Frequency parameter.
Operations are divided in 2 pages. Press Next / Previous buttons to go through them. Always check system
time is tight. Press over Actual Time to change it in case you need.
Set Electrical Heating Start Temperature to desired frontier level at which Hot Water heating will
stop, and electrical system will start. For example, if your hot water system is at 70ºC, use 55-60ºC.
Customer's hot water installation must be always keep with hot water and pressure, so hot water
will recirculate, as our system does not include any pump.
ECO Mode Temperature has to be equal or lower to frontier temperature, as when ECO Mode
activated, it will never use electrical heating system.
ALARM MESSAGES
This alarm message is shown in case Emergency Button is pressed. Once the problem that originated the
emergency is solved, please go to Home screen, release Emergency Button and rearm system by pressing
Rearm button at Home screen.
PUMP BREAKDOWN.
Shown if the electric thermal protection for the flow pump is released. Please re-arm the protection in
the main electric box and go on.
Shown if water temperature reaches 94ºC due to high power ultrasounds, even with heating system
disconnected. Ultrasounds & Heating system will stop for 15 minutes.
Shown if system does not detect tray arriving to return point after 7 seconds, as this could mean return
point sensor failing. In this case, system will take tray down to avoid cover being hit with parts at tray. This
message doesn’t mean sensor is failing, as it will be shown if reaching turning point takes more than 7
seconds when agitation with heavy parts or with tray speed reduced (increase tray speed with flow
regulators).
