1 INTRODUCTION
In an era where healthcare is evolving at a fast pace, making sound decisions is critical.
Decision support systems in healthcare facilitate decision-making for medical practitioners. These
systems use technology and artificial intelligence to provide information and insights that assist
healthcare professionals in providing care to their patients. A decision support system (DSS) in
healthcare functions as an assistant, providing guidance throughout the process (Patil, 2023).
The proposed DSS leverages the power of differential evolution, a robust and efficient
optimization algorithm, to enhance the planning, procurement, and distribution processes of medical
supplies. By integrating this algorithm with a comprehensive database of medical inventory and real-
time demand data, the system is designed to minimize shortages and overstock situations, ensuring
that critical supplies are always available when needed.
This study not only seeks to improve the operational efficiency of RHU-Aurora but also to
provide a scalable solution that can be adapted to other rural healthcare units facing similar supply
chain challenges. Through this initiative, this study aims to contribute to better healthcare delivery
and resource management, ultimately enhancing patient care and outcomes in rural communities.
Furthermore, this study aims to showcase the practical advantages of utilizing advanced
computational techniques in healthcare logistics. It aims to enhance the management of medical
supplies in RHU-Aurora, setting a precedent for other rural healthcare units, and ultimately
contributing to more resilient and responsive healthcare systems in underserved areas.
a. Create a decision support system to predict future demand for medical supplies with
greater accuracy.
b. Determine the optimal reorder points and order quantities for medical supplies in
RHU-Aurora, and
To health facility. This study is beneficial to health facilities as a whole since the Decision
Support System enhances patient care, providing them with innovative solutions to boost patient
satisfaction. This would further help them provide high-quality healthcare services.
To medical patients. This study, which aims to contribute to better healthcare delivery and
resource management, will primarily benefit medical patients, as proper medical supplies in health
facilities play an important role in many ways in improving their health.
To the future researchers. This study will help future researchers improve their
understanding of the critical role of developing a system for the efficient operation of a healthcare
facility. This study may also be useful as a reference tool and related study in their future research
endeavors.
2 THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK
For the review of related literature, make sure to touch on the most important aspects of your
study. Use a topical outline. In your style of discussion, be sure to adopt a storyline. Do not forget
to cite all statements of facts, main ideas/trends, equations, findings, etc. Use APA format for the
citation. As much as possible, use most recent journal articles. Use books sparingly. And no

aromatically generated.
Provide a conceptual framework in the form of a single diagram which should show all the
aspects of the study. Provide a description of the framework after the diagram.
3 OPERATIONAL FRAMEWORK
3.1 Materials
3.1.1 Software
Describe all the software that you used including names and other details.
3.1.2 Hardware
3.1.3 Data
Indicate the source of the data, type of data, year of acquisition, and other pertinent details.
3.2 Methods
The headings given here for the methods are only suggestive. Adopt what is appropriate for
your research. For example, you would have experimental design if you used one such as
multivariate method and the like which would describe the number of tests you did and the conditions
for testing.
