SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATE

Qualification PHOTOGRAPHY NC II
COC Title 1 OPERATE CAMERA AND COMPOSE A SUBJECT
Time Allotted 2 (Two) Hours

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

1. The Assessor will provide you the necessary tools, equipment, supplies, and
materials.
2. The Assessor will allow 15 minutes for you to familiarize yourself with the
resources to be used in this demonstration.
3. Observe the PEC/PV Gap and other standards and procedures if applicable.
4. Given the necessary components, testing instruments, tools, and equipment,
you shall Operate Camera and Compose a Subject in two (2) hours based on
the following tasks:
a. Operate camera safely in accordance with manufacturer’s
instruction.
b. Adjust the focus manually and electronically.
c. Explain the relationship between shutter speed and aperture
setting.
d. Apply aperture priority or shutter speed priority.
e. Select appropriate lens for a given requirement.
f. Assess the quality and quantity of available lights to determine
appropriate exposure and lighting effect.
g. Maintain and store equipment and materials.
h. Handle clients' concerns.
5. The assessment shall be based on the units of competency in the Training
Regulations and the Evidence Plan and shall focus on the following
evidence gathering methods:
 Demonstration
 Interview/Oral Questioning
6. The final assessment shall be the responsibility of the accredited
assessor.
7. At the end of the assessment, the accredited assessor shall give you
feedback on the result of assessment. The feedback shall indicate
whether you are:
 COMPETENT
 NOT YET COMPETENT

SET UP STUDIO LIGHTS, EQUIPMENT, AND
COC Title 2
ACCESSORIES
Time Allotted 2 (Two) Hours

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

1. The Assessor will provide you the necessary tools, equipment, supplies,
and materials.
2. The Assessor will allow 15 minutes for you to familiarize yourself with the
resources to be used in this demonstration.
3. Observe the PEC/PV Gap and other standards and procedures if
applicable.
4. Given the necessary components, testing instruments, tools, and
equipment, you shall Set Up Studio Lights, Equipment, and Accessories in
two (2) hours based on the following tasks:
a) Select appropriate lighting equipment and associated
accessories for specified subjects.
b) Apply appropriate white balance.
c) Apply range of lighting techniques for the specified subjects.
d) Apply safety precautions in setting up studio lights, equipment,
and accessories.
e) Maintain and store electrical equipment after use.
5. The assessment shall be based on the units of competency in the Training
Regulations and the Evidence Plan and shall focus on the following
evidence gathering methods:
 Demonstration
 Interview/Oral Questioning
6. The final assessment shall be the responsibility of the accredited
assessor.
7. At the end of the assessment, the accredited assessor shall give you
feedback on the result of assessment. The feedback shall indicate
whether you are:
 COMPETENT
 NOT YET COMPETENT

COC Title 3 PERFORM POST-CAPTURE PROCESSING
Time Allotted 2 (Two) Hours

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

1. The Assessor will provide you the necessary tools, equipment, supplies,
and materials.
2. The Assessor will allow 15 minutes for you to familiarize yourself with the
resources to be used in this demonstration.
3. Observe the PEC/PV Gap and other standards and procedures if
applicable.
4. Given the necessary components, testing instruments, tools, and
equipment, you shall Perform Post-Capture Processing in two (2) hours
based on the following tasks:

a. Download and organize digital files into appropriate folders


as per established practice.
b. Know the copyright, moral rights, and intellectual property
issues and legislation associated with photo imaging work.
c. Maintain and store equipment after use.

5. The assessment shall be based on the units of competency in the Training


Regulations and the Evidence Plan and shall focus on the following
evidence gathering methods:

 Demonstration
 Interview/Oral Questioning

6. The final assessment shall be the responsibility of the accredited


assessor.

7. At the end of the assessment, the accredited assessor shall give you
feedback on the result of assessment. The feedback shall indicate
whether you are:

 COMPETENT
 NOT YET COMPETENT

COC Title 4 PRESENT FINISHED PRODUCTS
Time Allotted 2 (Two) Hours

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

1. The Assessor will provide you the necessary tools, equipment, supplies,
and materials.
2. The Assessor will allow 15 minutes for you to familiarize yourself with the
resources to be used in this demonstration.
3. Observe the PEC/PV Gap and other standards and procedures if
applicable.
4. Given the necessary components, testing instruments, tools, and
equipment, you shall produce organic concoctions and extracts in two (2)
hours based on the following tasks:

a. Prepare photo images and needed materials for final


packaging.
b. Assess finished products for imperfections and apply
finishing touches as per established practice.
c. Label and package finished products properly as per
established practice.
d. Handle and deliver finished products.
e. Handle client’s concerns and requirements.

5. The assessment shall be based on the units of competency in the Training


Regulations and the Evidence Plan and shall focus on the following
evidence gathering methods:

 Demonstration
 Interview/Oral Questioning

6. The final assessment shall be the responsibility of the accredited


assessor.

7. At the end of the assessment, the accredited assessor shall give you
feedback on the result of assessment. The feedback shall indicate
whether you are:
