CRUD PROGRAM PROPOSAL

Joebelle Genota, Brent Areglo, Vince Keth Maarat, Keith Ian Gabatin

I. TITLE OF THE PROGRAM

Simplified Solutions: Enhancing Cafeteria Processes and User Experience
II. DESCRIPTION
Most of the people can go to the canteen at the same time, because, in
educational instructions, they are giving the same lunchtime, so within few hours
the canteen employees serve a crowd. So, they need an alternative for taking
orders. In this system, people can order food online. N. Sasirekha, et al., [2].
Another problem would be that going to the canteen and leaving a work that is due
in a few hours can be a choice that is hard to choose from. We decided to work on
this program because of the stated problems. On the study of S. Chenna, et. al.,
[3] it was found that online food ordering systems can help to reduce wait times
and increase customer satisfaction, particularly during peak hours. This tells that
making an ordering system can be beneficial not only to students but also to the
staffs & teachers.
III. OBJECTIVES
The goal of this program is to create a basic CRUD operation of Student Cafeteria
Management System. Specifically, it aims to:
1. Efficiency: Streamlining the process of food service, payment, and
management, making it quicker and easier for both customers and staff.
2. Cost-effectiveness: Reducing overhead costs by minimizing the need for
complex infrastructure or specialized staff, thus maximizing profits.
3. Customer satisfaction: Providing a straightforward experience for
customers to select and purchase food items without confusion or delays.
4. Ease of management: Simplifying inventory control, ordering processes,
and overall cafeteria administration, making it easier to oversee operations.
5. Accessibility: Allowing for easy adaptation and understanding by a wide
range of users, including customers and cafeteria employees.
6. Flexibility: Being adaptable to changing needs or scaling up without
significant disruptions or costly modifications.
IV. FUNCTIONS
1) The program accepts credentials from the user.
2) The program allows the user to place order and cancel order.
3) The program can ease the payment process through its payment function.
4) The program allows the user an easy access to the menu and inventory
tracking.
5) The program allows record keeping for inventory tracking.
