Lesson: Bring the Fish Home - Pre-Writing Sensory Bag

Specific Objectives:

- Cognitive: Identify and sort colors (green, yellow, pink).


- Affective: Show interest and engagement in the color sorting activity.
- Psycho-motor: Develop fine motor skills by manipulating the magnet to move the fish.

Approach to the Lesson:

Start the lesson by reading a short, colorful story about fish. Engage the children by asking
questions about the colors they see and what fish might need to do to find their homes. Explain
that they will help the fish find their homes using a fun, hands-on activity.

How the Activity is Made:

1. Cut small fish shapes from three colored sheets (green, yellow, pink).
2. Draw three houses on white A4 paper, each matching one of the fish colors.
3. Connect each fish house with a route that matches the fish color.
4. Attach magnets to popsicle sticks.
5. Staple the fish cutouts to the popsicle sticks with magnets.
6. Fill ziplock bags with water and add the fish with magnets.
