FIP210 Academic Integrity Assignment

This assignment will assess your knowledge about Seneca’s Academic Integrity Policy.

Step 1:

Review the Student Resources section of Seneca College’s Academic Integrity website that is available at
http://open2.senecac.on.ca/sites/academic-integrity/for-students/

Step 2:

Complete the three academic integrity related modules that are available at
including: https://employees.senecacollege.ca/spaces/197/academic-
integrity/student-resources
1. The Integrity in Action Badge
2. Plagiarism and Citation Badge
3. Integrity Matters App

Step 3:

After completing each module, apply to claim your digital badge to demonstrate that you have
completed the module. At the end of each module, you can apply to claim your badge by entering your
name and Seneca e-mail address in the spaces provided, followed by choosing the School of Accounting
and Financial Services from the drop down menu.

This information will be used to send you an e-mail from Seneca College via CanCred. Once you receive
the e-mail, click on the link entitled “Claim Badge.”

When claiming your first badge, you will need to set up an eCampusOntario Passport account to claim,
store, and download your badges. Follow the instructions on the eCampusOntario Passport website to
set up your account.

Once in your account, claim each badge. Ensure each badge has your name and date on it.

The badge should have your name and date on it. If your name is not present, click on the “Settings”
function in the badge and ensure that "Show your name in badge" has a check mark beside it.

Step 4:

Complete the same process as above to download the three badges, Integrity in Action, Plagiarism in
Action, and Integrity Matters.

Step 5:

Upload the .PDF version of all three badges (each with your name and date on it) to LEARN@Seneca
under the Academic Integrity Assignment assessment portal.

Please note that late assignments will be subject to a penalty of 10% per day
