LILONGWE UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE AND NATURAL RESOURCES (LUANAR) OPEN &

DISTANCE LEARNING (ODL) GENERIC AND MATURE ENTRY SELECTION – COHORT 11

The Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) has released
names of successful candidates to pursue degree programmes offered through
Open and Distance Learning (ODL) for both Generic (year 1) and Mature entry (year
2) for the 2020-2021 academic year.

The opening date for the semester is 6 September 2021. Students are expected to
attend a two-week orientation and facilitation session that will take place at Bunda
Campus. Students are advised to arrange their transport to the orientation venue in
addition to food and accommodation during the orientation period.

Tuition fee is at MK 350,000.00 per year or MK 175,000.00 per semester, which must be
paid through the following National Bank Account: LUANAR ODL FEES, 1002868683,
Lilongwe Gateway Service Center. Students will only be registered after paying the
tuition fees in full and upon production of an original bank deposit slip bearing the
student name during registration.

In addition to the tuition fees, students are expected to deposit MK30,000.00

(Optional) as a contribution towards the printing of study materials (Modules) and
K1,000 student union fee per semester. The module fees should be deposited
separately from the tuition fees. Only students who will have paid this amount shall
have access to the printed study materials.

All students will be sent admission letters where all the details and other requirements
pertaining to their program will be outlined. The candidates are therefore advised
to read and understand fully the contents of the letters before committing
themselves to joining the university.
