LTV® Series Ventilators

Service Support Options

CareFusion offers several support options for the preventative maintenance

and servicing of the LTV® Series Ventilators. All service is done by CareFusion
trained LTV Service Representatives who know the ventilators inside and out
to ensure quality maintenance of your investment.

Service and support options

1. Service repair parts and preventative maintenance kits can be sold to clients who have
been certified as a factory trained technician for the LTV Series Ventilators and can perform
the service.
Please note. Service parts and PM Kits are not sold to end-users unless they have a
factory-trained certification.
2. Factory service support – Preventative maintenance/repair service performed at the
Factory Service Center in Palm Springs, CA.
o Services provided on a time and materials basis.
o Customer is responsible for freight on all ventilators sent to and from the Factory
Service Center.
o Loan ventilators provided (subject to availability).
3. Service contract support – Preventative maintenance/repair services performed at the
Factory Service Center in Palm Springs, CA
o Parts and repairs and/or PM services provided at a fixed annual rate.

Preventive maintenance (PM) schedule

Factory recommended intervals for PM’s are based on hours of use or age of the ventilator,
whichever comes first.
 10K PM is due every two years or every 10,000 hours of use, whichever comes first.
o 10K PM - includes replacement of the internal battery, power board, all filters, software
update and full factory calibration.

 30K PM is due every 30,000 hours of use.

o 30K PM - includes all items performed during the 10K PM plus replacement of the
solenoid manifold, sounder, fan, flow valve, turbine, oxygen blender, rotary switch and
tubing.
CareFusion is now pleased to offer an alternative option at 6 years for ventilators
with low hours of use.
 6 Year PM without turbine – Due every six years and is available for ventilators with
less than 30,000 hours of use.
o 6 Year PM - Includes all items performed during the 10K PM plus replacement of the
solenoid manifold, sounder, fan, flow valve, oxygen blender, rotary switch and tubing.
