STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES

GPS VIVA

STATIC OBSERVATION

Go To Rover Menu► Select Instrument

Select Connections► Click on select all other connections

Click on CS Connections tab and select on GPS Rover and then click on edit ►Then GPS
Rover connection window will be displayed
Then click OK ► Again go to Instruments

Select GPS settings. Go to satellite tracking

Select GPS L5,Glonass and show message when loss of lock occurs in the tracking tab. ► In
advance tab give the suitable cut off angle .Select L2C and satellite health as automatic and
click ok
Click on antenna heights and select AS10 tripod & enter the antenna height and then click OK

Select Raw data logging ►check the log data for post processing. ► Select the parameters as
shown in the picture and click OK

Select go to work ►Go to survey.

Give point ID. ►Enter the antenna height and click Measure.

RTK REFERENCE

Go to base menu ► Go to Instrument.

Go to base connections ► Go to Connect to base sensors

Select sensor and connection as shown in picture ►Click ok
Again go to instrument ►Base connections ► Go to all other connections

Select base RTK 1. Click on Edit. ►click on Transmit RTK base info
Select connect using :- GS Port 1 or 3
RTK data format :- Leica 4G (for observation with gps Viva) or Leica (for observation with gps
1230/530) ►Click OK

Go to Instrument ►Base Settings ► Satellite tracking ►select as shown in picture .click OK

Go to Raw data Settings ►click on log data for post processing (if u want to log reference data)
►select rate as 15 sec(or as you desire).
Data type:- Lieca format(MBD). Click OK

Go to Work
►Over known point (if you the coordinates of reference station)
Enter the coordinates and click ok
►over last setup (if you want to work in your last setup point then use this menu)
►Over any point (if you don’t have the coordinates of reference station then select this menu)
 RTK ROVER

Go to Rover menu ► select Instrument

Go To Connections ► All Other Connections

In CS Connections tab select

GPS Rover and click edit.
Select sensor and connection
as shown in picture. Click ok

►In GS Connection tab,

Select RTK Rover ► click
Edit

►click on Receive RTK data

Connect using:- GS port 2 or 3

RTK device :-Pac. Crest PDL
RTK data format:- Leica 4G (for observation with gps Viva), Leica (for
observation with gps 530)
Again go to Instrument
Select GPS Settings ►Satellite Tracking

Select as shown in picture and click Ok. Again go to satellite tracking ►select Antenna Heights
Select as shown in picture. Click Ok. ►Go to raw data logging

Click on Log Data for Post Processing.

Log data to :- GS Sensor or Controller

Logging starts: - only within Survey
Log data when: - Static
Rate:- 15 sec (should be same both in Reference & Rover )
Data type:- Leica format (MDB)
Click OK.
Go to work ►Go to survey

Give Point ID and click on Measure.

NOTE:- IF YOU WANT TO SEE THAT OUR DATA IS GETTING LOGGING OR NOT . THEN
GO TO MAIN MENU ►INSTRUMENTS ►INSTRUMENT STATUS ►RAW DATA LOGGING
