06/17/202 Online Meeting with Field Coordinators and Other OJT Students
I attended the brief orientation on the midyear field practice proposal conducted via
google meet.
06/24/2021 Field Practice/Industry Immersion Program Virtual Orientation
I attended the online orientation for students with their parents who will be conducting
their field practice. The BSABE/BSAEN curriculum and AEN/ABE 180 was disussed.Engr.
Jennifer Ebona gave the welcome remarks. Engr. Glaiza Vistacion and Engr. Ian Carlo
Lositano as the field practice coordinators tackled the CBSUA Guidelines n the New
Normal OJT Training and field practice program.
06/26/2021 Requirement Forms
Copies of Parents Consent and Student's Pledge Forms to be filled up and notarized were
sent to students. We were also advised to find HTE cooperators for our field practice
within our area.
06/27/2021 Filling up of Forms
I filled up the student pledge and aked my father to fill up the parents consent. I also
started browsing in facebook searching for potential cooperators.
06/28/2021 Visiting potential cooperators
Visited the Iriga City Organic Agriculture Farm located at San Isidro, Iriga City with a fellow
student to ask if we can conduct an OJT training there. The staff accomodated us and
advised us to go to the Iriga City Agriculture Offi ce and submit a request letter.
06/29/2021 Coordinating with the local agriculture offi ce
Visited the Iriga City Agriculture Offi ce to inquire about the OJT. We were informed that
th farm was not available since it's currently being used as quarantine area. The staff
referred me to a mushroom association.
06/30/2021 Visiting potential cooperators
Visited the Owner of a mushroom farm located in Santiago, Iriga City with a fellow
student. A staff from the Agriculture offi ce accompanied us to the location. We asked if
we can conduct a field practice on the farm and the owner agreed. Upon inspection of the
farm, the mushroom farm is not currently in operation. If we were to conduct the OJT
there, the owner said that we have to pay for the labor to be hired.
07/3-5/2021 Coordinating with the potential cooperator
Tried communicating with the owner of the mushroom farm via text but received no
positive response.

7/17/2021 Coordinate with local agriculture offi ce
Visited the Baao Municipal Agriculture Offi ce to ask if we can conduct an OJT at their
offi ce. The municipal agriculturist Aline M. Bravo, ABE approved of our request and
advised us to submit a letter addressed to the Baao municipal mayor.

Drafted a request letter for field practice to be signed by me, Dean and for approval of the
municipal mayor attention to the municipal agriculturist

Received the signed request letter from Sir Ian.
07/21/2021 Request Letter
Visited the Baao Municipal Offi ce with a fellow student to ask Baao Municipal Mayor
Jeffrey Bisenio to sign the request letter for OJT. After, we went to the Agricultural Offi ce
to submit the letter and discuss the field practice set-up with the municipal agriculturist.
We were introduced to the staff assigned to various agriculture areas. The offi ce
identified two problems that they assigned to each of us. I was able to pick the
assessment of the VTD machinery and the farmers acceptability on using the machine. We
also scheduled the site-visits and survey-interviews.
07/22/2021 Virtual Seminar Training
I attended the first day of the Virtual Seminar Training which discussed Agriculture
nterprise Development, Preparation of Bidding Documents, Far Infrared Paddy Drying
Technology. The talks were interesting and the speakers were engaging. I learned a lot
from the discussion and was able to take a peek on what the ABE professional field is.
07/23/2021 Virtual Seminar Training and Drafted survey-interview
I attended the second day of the virtual seminar training that inludes ABE-related
informative talks from various speakers. The topics discussed were about ICT Tools in Rice
Farming, Food and Agricultural Research Feed Milling Quality Assurance Control. I drafted
the survey-interview questionnaires for corn farmers and operators of the Village-Type
Corn Cob Dryer
07/26/2021 Site-Visit at Agdangan, Baao
I visited the location of the machinery for inspection and survey- interview of the
operators. I took photos of the machinery and asked how they operate the machine. I also
took note of the damages incurred by the machine throughout it's operation. The
agricultural technoogist Sir Vic Corte and Manoy Jose accompanied me to inspect the VTD
machine.

07/27/2021 Survey-Interview with Farmers
I interviewed corn farmers who uses mechanical dryers. Only two corn farmers who fits
the category came by and were available during the time of the interview. I also went to
the Department of Agriclture to request the previous data on the VTD machinery but was
advised to submit a formal request letter.

Drafted the needs assessment report
07/29/2021 Virtual Seminar Training
I attended the Day 3 Virtual seminar training Part 2 which involves talks on ABE Research.
Specifically, research on rice straw and machineries were elaborated by the speaker.
Testing of Agricultural Equipments and Machineries at AMTEC and how to be a test
engineer was also discussed.
07/30/2021 Virtual Seminar Training
This is Day 4 of the program which involves talks on Procurement in Engineering Projects.
The speaker discussed about details on how deals and biddings work and the process of
procurement.
