The municipality of Paracelis is located in the eastern most part of Mountain Province, it is Currently there is no developed sanitary landfill

ll facility in the municipality. For

bounded by the municipality of Natonin, and on the South by the province of Ifugao; on the East
Isabela and on North by the Province of Kalinga. The municipality has a total of 55,160.5 hectares,
the population is composed of the indigenous peoples of Paracelis like Ga’dang and Licoy and IP-
migrants. With the continuing trend of influx of migrants Paracelis is now becoming a cosmopolitan
community. The major livelihood of the municipality is on agriculture. Residential, agricultural and
other land classifications is 6759 hectares this means that most of the lands in Paracelis are forest
land. The majority of total land area of Paracelis ranges from 0-8% slopes and the climate in the
municipality is type 1 with rainfall intensity of 25 mm/ hour as of 2020.
the meantime, Municipal Government is disposing its waste to the Sanitary
Landfill of Alfonso Lista, Ifugao by virtue of a Memorandum of agreement. The
municipal government has only one unit of mini dump truck, and the plan is to
acquire plastic shredder, bottle crusher or pulverizer. It is planned that the
facility will be developed as a category 1 Sanitary landfill by 1st quarter of 2022
and commence its operation by 2025.
