Notes:

• Seam allowances are ¼” unless otherwise specified.

• Print the patterns with no scaling. There is a mark on each page showing an inch. Match that to a
ruler and make sure it’s correct.
• Patterns are designed to close flush in the back, so appropriate closures would be Velcro, buttons with
loops or hooks and eyes.
• Check my blog for free patterns here: http://jenwrenne.wordpress.com
• This pattern is copyrighted by me and may not be shared or sold. If you sell things made from this
pattern I would appreciate credit for the pattern design.

This is a great pattern for:

• Colorful, bold prints

• Appliqué/trim on the skirt
• Embroidery/trim down the center or offset on the bodice

This dress is SO fast and easy! It would be a perfect learn-to-sew project to do with a child
The only mildly tricky part is the underarm hems. Instead of turning under twice, you can either serge and turn under
once, or cut off ¼” and bind the edge with bias.

Hem armholes. Fold down a scant ¼” then make a casing about 3/8” (9mm) wide. It can be wider for larger dolls, since
you’ll probably use a wider ribbon too.

Hem skirt, gather and sew to bodice. Measure an 1/8” wide ribbon (wider for bigger dolls if desired) long enough to tie
in a bow around neck. Thread through the casing. Center it, try on doll and pull up gathers slightly. Tack ribbon in place
at both ends of the casing with a few hand stitches to hold the gathers in place. Serge/zigzag back raw edges, turn
under and close with Velcro or hooks and eyes.

SUPER IMPORTANT NOTE:

The Paola Reina size has been tested and fits the PRs and Cheries without alteration.
Other sizes are provided for your convenience. I’m fairly sure they’ll work but they have
not been tested! Make a test version in muslin/paper towels to check fit before cutting
into good fabric! Line up skirt pieces and tape together before cutting blue and orange
sizes.
