The charts illustrate the figures for hours of working each week in 4 different European
nations in industrial sector in 2002.
Overall, the percentage of people who worked 36-40 hours per week lead the top in 3 of 4
countries, other categories are witnessed virtually no sharp differences.
The proportion of 31-35-hour-working harbors in France registered the highest point
which is 50%, while the opposite was true for the percentage of people who worked 1-14
and over 50 hours a week. Additionally, people who spent 36 – 40 hours a week working
made up 70% in Denmark in 2002, approximately seven times higher than other working
hours categories which hovered at around 10%.
In addition, the proportion of workers who worked 1-14 hours per week in Sweden
comprised nearly 10% which is the lowest point. As similar to those of Denmark, the
percentage of 36-40-hour-working workers occupied 80% which is the highest point in
Sweden chart and four times higher than those of 21-30 hours. Moreover, in the UK,
people who took 36 to 40 hours a week to work also lead the top among the others as the
same as Sweden and Denmark.
