(6) INTRODUCTION
Earth sciences are the fields of study concerned with the solid Earth, its waters,
and the air that envelops it. They include the geologic, hydrologic, and
atmospheric sciences with the broad aim of understanding Earth's present
features and past evolution and using this knowledge to benefit humankind
A typical earthquake reduces GDP per capita by 1.6% eight years later, with
substantial heterogeneity by country categories. In particular, low and middle-
income countries experience the greatest long-run economic damages while
high-income countries may even experience some positive “building back
better” effects
With a greater understanding of the causes and effects of earthquakes and how
they impact buildings, infrastructure, and society itself, we may be able to
reduce damage and loss of life from this destructive phenomenon
(6.1) RATIONALE/SIGNIFICANCE (not to exceed 300 words)
Natural disasters such as floods, typhoons, hurricanes, and especially
earthquakes inflict serious damage and so seem to be bad for the economy.
Studying earthquakes also helps us predict where they are likely to happen
and prevent large number of casualties.
By analyzing records of earthquakes, this research has identified a series of
important research priorities for further regional work in order to understand
and quantify the hazard.
We hope by understanding the effects of earthquakes and other calamities to
the economy, we will strive to better understand or how to prevent casualties
in the future to help the people survive and see a brighter tomorrow.

Conceptual Framework
INPUT
Identifying the residents that experienced
the disaster.
PROCESS
Construct questions and put it in a
questionnaire.
Print copies of the questionnaire.
(6.3) OBJECTIVES
This research proposal's objective is to know the effects or consequences of the most
Meaning, we will:
- Recognize the damage of the most severe and destructive earthquake that
occurred.
- Acknowledge or know how the Filipino's in the area that experienced the
Casualties
268 was killed and 260 was injured in the manila (Ruby Tower) 1 injured in
manila (Sta. Ana tenement house) 1 killed in aurora sub province and in guagua
pampanga. Totalling in 270 persons killed and 261 persons injured
(8) METHODOLOGY
Our:
- First step involves preparing a questionnaire that will allow us to determine the after effects
of the earthquake.
- Second step involves picking and interviewing the victims that suffered that were affected by
this earthquake.
- Last step is gathering the answers and transfer it into the research proposal.
EXPECTED
The livelihood of the Earth can be appreciated in part through the study of
earthquakes and other natural phenomena. It is by the knowledge we gain from
studying earthquakes that we can start to understand their impact on societies
and to find ways to mitigate damage
