INTRODUCTION

Good afternoon dear friends, today I’m here to take seminar about the topic “Formation
of Gender Stereotypes” from Page: 243.
STEREOTYPE
What is Stereotype?
It is a predefined idea or image associated with someone or something.
The term “STEREOTYPE” coined by Walter Lippmann in 1922.
STEREOTYPE was basically divided into 2 types:
 Implicit stereotype
 Explicit stereotype
GENDER
GENDER was basically divided into 4 types:
 Masculine Gender – denotes male
 Feminine Gender – denotes female
 Neuter Gender – denotes non-living or lifeless things
 Common Gender – denotes both males and females.
In gender equality Iceland is country which ranks at the first. India is at 127th country out of 146
contries in 195.
Afghanistan is the country with most gender issues Discrimination against the Hazara – afghan
women.
