SPECIAL ABILITIES
------------------------------
Unnerving Gaze (Su)
A Bkukos can make its face resemble a departed loved one or bitter enemy of anyone
looking at it. An opponent that meets a Bkukos's gaze within 60ft. becomes shaken
for 1d3 rounds unless they succeed at a DC 28 will save. A successful saving throw
negates the effect. Each opponent within range of a gaze attack must attempt a
saving throw each round at the beginning of his or her turn in the initiative
order. The save DC is charisma-based.

Stunning Attack (Ex)

A Bkukos swings with such force that its first attack each round will stun its
target for 1 round unless they make a DC 32 Fortitude save. The save DC is
strength-based.

Paralyze (Su)
When a Bkukos hits a target with its heavy mace attack(s), the victim is rendered
immobile for 2d6 rounds. The target is allowed a DC 28 fortitude save to negate
the paralysis effect. Paralyzed creatures cannot move, speak, or take any physical
actions. The creature is rooted to the spot, frozen and helpless. The save DC is
charisma-based.

Elemental Attack (Su)

A Bkukos's heavy mace attacks are coated in acid, causing an additional 1d6 acid
damage with each attack.

Frost Nova (Sp)

A Bkukos can conjure a spectral wave of frost, causing 17d6 cold damage to the main
target and 17 cold damage to any targets within 10 feet, with a DC 24 Fortitude
save for half damage.

+1 heavy mace
A Bkukos wields a +1 heavy mace, the bonuses are included in its stats above.

Igniting Gaze (Su)

An opponent that meets a Bkukos's gaze within 60ft. bursts into flame unless they
succeed at a DC 28 fortitude save. A victim will suffer 5d6 fire damage immediately
and will catch on fire, burning each round for 1d6 fire damage. A successful
saving throw negates the effect. Each opponent within range of a gaze attack must
attempt a saving throw each round at the beginning of his or her turn in the
initiative order. The save DC is charisma-based.

Curse (Su)
A Bkukos bestows a curse upon its enemies by touching them. A Bkukos's curse has
a Will save DC of 28, a frequency of 1 day, and causes 1d8 str drain. Curses can be
removed through remove curse and similar effects. The save DC is charisma-based.

Horrific Appearance (Su)

A Bkukos has such a horrific, mind-rending shape that those who gaze upon it
suffers all manner of ill effects. A Bkukos can present itself as a standard
action to assault the senses of all living creatures within 30 feet. Those
affected by a Bkukos's horrific appearance must make a DC 28 will save or become
nauseated for 1d6 rounds (these effects can vary greatly, this is just a sample
effect). This ability is a mind-affecting gaze attack. The save DC is charisma-
based.

Protective Aura (Su)

A Bkukos has a holy aura that protects against attacks or effects made by evil
creatures. This ability provides a +4 deflection bonus to AC, and a +4 resistance
bonus to saving throws to anyone within 20 feet. Otherwise, it functions as a
'Magic Circle Against Evil' effect and a 'Lesser Globe of Invulnerability' (each
with a caster level of 20, and a radius of 20 feet). These benefits are not
included in a Bkukos's statistics block.
Bludgeoning Weapon Vulnerability (Ex)
A Bkukos takes 50% extra damage from physical attacks that deal bludgeoning
damage.

Bravery (Ex)
A Bkukos gains a + 5 on will saves against fear.

Slashing Weapon Vulnerability (Ex)

A Bkukos takes 50% extra damage from physical attacks that deal slashing damage.

Light Aversion (Ex)

A Bkukos becomes sickened in bright light. The penalties from this condition are
doubled when the Bkukos is in natural sunlight.

Monstrous Humanoid Traits

Monstrous humanoids are similar to humanoids, but with monstrous or animalistic
features. They often have magical abilities as well.
-Darkvision 60 feet.
-Monstrous humanoids breathe, eat, and sleep.

Truespeech (Su)
A Bkukos can communicate with any creature that has a language, as through using a
'Tongues' spell (of caster level 20) constantly.

Fear Aura (Su)

A Bkukos radiates a 60ft. aura that will affect everyone entering or standing
within as the 'Fear' spell. This is a mind-affecting fear effect that allows a DC
28 will save to negate. The save DC is charisma-based.

Darksense (Ex)
A Bkukos gains 'True Seeing' in dim light and darkness. Regardless of light
conditions, they can detect living creatures and their health within 60 feet, as
'Blindsense' with 'Deathwatch' continuously active. Mind Blank and Nondetection
prevent the Blindsense and Deathwatch effect, but not the true seeing.

Amorphous Anatomy (Ex)

A Bkukos's vital organs shift and change shape and position constantly. This
grants it a 50% chance to ignore additional damage caused by critical hits and
sneak attacks, and grants it immunity to polymorph effects (unless the Bkukos is a
willing target). A Bkukos automatically recovers from physical blindness or
deafness after 1 round by growing new sensory organs to replace those that were
compromised.

Stench (Ex)
A Bkukos secretes an oily chemical that nearly every other creature finds
offensive. All living creatures (except those with Stench) within 30 feet must
succeed on a Fortitude save (DC 23) or be sickened for 1d8+20 rounds. Creatures
that successfully save cannot be affected by the same creature?s stench for 24
hours. A delay poison or neutralize poison spell removes the effect from the
sickened creature. Creatures with immunity to poison are unaffected, and creatures
resistant to poison receive their normal bonus on their saving throws. The save DC
is constitution based.
