Product BARACOR 129, a blend of inorganic zinc and sulfite compounds, can be used to eliminate oxygen and
Description hydrogen sulfide corrosion. Sulfide is permanently removed from the system as a zinc precipitate.

Applications / • BARACOR 129 can be used to treat out oxygen and hydrogen sulfide in drilling fluids.

• Protects against pitting type corrosion when used in conjunction with STABILITE®, a scale inhibitor

Recommended
Add 50-60 lb (23-27 kg) of BARACOR 129 per 8-hour tour
Treatment Maintain a sulfite residual of 50 mg/l
Note: Systems containing high levels of calcium should be pretreated with sodium carbonate prior to
additions of BARACOR 129. STABILITE may be added simultaneously with BARACOR 129 to
increase the calcium tolerance.

Packaging BARACOR 129 is packaged in 50-lb (22.7-kg) sacks.
