Phase-IX of "Sagar Parikrama" to be launched

➢ The Phase-IX of the Sagar Parikrama will be launched in Tamil


Nadu and Puducherry.
➢ Sagar Parikrama launched in 2022, is an outreach program
intended to reach out fishermen community across the
entire coastal belt of the country.
➢ It seeks to understand the issues, experiences and
aspirations of fishermen and to create awareness of various
schemes and programs of the Government available to
fishermen in coastal areas.
➢ First 8-phases have covered 4,115 km in 8 Coastal states/UTs
including Gujarat, Diu & Daman, Maharashtra, Goa,
Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry, and Andaman & Nicobar.
Ministry of Textiles organizes National Conclave on
Agrotech
➢ Ministry of Textiles, under its flagship scheme National
Technical Textiles Mission (NTTM), organized National
Conclave on Agrotech.

➢ It emphasizes on the importance of accelerating


productivity of agriculture & horticulture products in India
in association with ITTA and SASMIRA.

➢ Ministry of Textiles notifies QCOs for 20 items under


Agrotextiles to ensure superior quality, safety and reliability
of products in Agro textiles.
REC launches a mobile app ‘SUGAM REC’

➢ REC Limited, under the Ministry of Power, has launched a


mobile application named ‘SUGAM REC’.

➢ The mobile app will offer investors with complete details of


their investment in REC 54EC Bonds.

➢ The app is exclusively for current and future investors in REC’s


54EC Capital Gain Tax Exemption Bonds.

➢ Section 54EC Bonds are a type of fixed income financial


instruments which provide tax exemption under capital gains to
investors, under Section 54EC of the Income Tax Act.
Digital Twin Center for Emerging Automotive Systems

➢ Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) has signed an


MoU with llT Guwahati.

➢ Aim: to establish Common Engineering Facility Center (CEFC)


titled “Digital Twin Center for Emerging Automotive Systems” in
Hub and Spoke model.

➢ The CEFC is being established under Capital Goods scheme Phase


II of Ministry of Heavy Industries.

➢ The CEFC will enable “SAMARTH Udyog Bharat 4.0”, for the
benefit of the industry at large, and more specifically MSMEs and
Start-ups.
Goa to host the 37th National Games

➢ Goa is set to make history by hosting the 37th edition of the


National Games, featuring a record-breaking 43 sporting
disciplines.

➢ The 37th National Games will mark the debut of several new
sports disciplines such as beach football, roll ball, golf,
sepaktakraw, sqay martial arts, kalliyarapattu, and pencak silat.

➢ Previous edition was held in Gujarat.

World Dyslexia Day: 8th October

➢ World Dyslexia Day is observed on October 8th each year.

➢ Dyslexia is a common learning disorder that affects a person’s


ability to read and write properly.

➢ This day aims to promote inclusivity, access to education, and the


implementation of effective strategies to support individuals with
dyslexia in their learning endeavors.
IREDA Pavilion at “AtoZero ASEAN Summit”

➢ Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia inaugurates Indian


Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd (IREDA) Pavilion at
“AtoZero ASEAN Summit”.

➢ Venue: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

➢ It will serve as a platform for IREDA to collaborate with


international partners and showcase the country's progress in
renewable energy development.
World Cerebral Palsy Day: 6th October

➢ World Cerebral Palsy Day is being celebrated every year on


October 6th.

➢ Theme for World Cerebral Palsy Day in 2023 is “Together


Stronger.”

➢ It serves as a platform to raise awareness about CP, support


those living with the condition, and advocate for greater inclusion
and understanding.
RuPay Domestic Card Scheme Agreement between India
and the UAE

➢ NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL), subsidiary of the National


Payments Corporation of India, has entered into a strategic partnership
agreement with Al Etihad Payments (AEP) for Domestic Card Scheme
(DCS) Implementation in UAE.

➢ As per the agreement, NIPL and AEP will work together to build,
implement, and operationalize UAE's national domestic card scheme.

➢ The DCS will aim to facilitate the growth of e-commerce and digital
transactions in the UAE.

➢ RuPay is an indigenous, highly secure, and widely accepted card


payment network in India.
IndusInd Bank unveiled its digital banking application
"INDIE"
➢ IndusInd Bank has unveiled its digital banking application "INDIE".

➢ INDIE provides a suite of adaptable financial solutions tailored to


individual client requirements.

➢ Bank has also set a target to onboard 10 million customers within


the next three years.
