PROJECT ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

II – BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

After further considerations and study on the needs of each pre-identified barangays,
which include the barangays of Aroyao Pequeño, Talisay, Bote and the Poblacion barangays
of Bato, Catanduanes, the extent of the needed improvements and the amount of funds
available for the project, it was agreed that the barangays of Aroyao Pequeño, Bote and
Libod Poblacion shall be the priority barangays for this year’s implementation of GAD Budget
intended for water system in the amount of Php2,000,000.00.

III – PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION:

Barangay Libod Poblacion usually suffers in the scarcity of water supply provided by
the Bato Water District particularly during summer season; as such, and since no additional
spring water is available for the barangay, construction of a solar-powered water system was
conceived. A solar panel structure and a 2.0m x 2.0m x 1.7m height water tank intended for
the project was constructed in the identified lot owned by Barangay Libod Poblacion. A
solar-powered submersible water pump was also installed in same lot thru a 36m depth
drilled pipes. Two water tap stands were provided to serve the barangay especially in the
event of drought or summer season. The amount of Php 1,100,000.00 was allotted for
Barangay Libod Poblacion.
 Water system in Aroyao Pequeño was also given consideration due to leakages in its
current piping system which affected the sufficiency of potable water supply to the
barangay. An intake box / impounding structure of 3.3m x 1.4m x0.8m height and a water
tank of 1.7m x 1.7m x 2.4m height was built along with the replacement of 660 l.m 1-1/2ӯ
polyethylene pipe lines. The amount of 500,000.00 was allotted for Barangay Aroyao
Pequeño.

In barangay Bote, a water impounding structure 2.0m x 2.2m avg. width x 0.8m
depth impounding structure was constructed in Sitio Tambo. A filtration tank of 1.7m x 1.7m
x 2.4m height was constructed in Sitio Logsadan. Two (2) existing water tank situated near
the compound of Bote Integrated School were waterproofed to repair leakages. A 500 l.m
pipelines were also laid in water systems of barangay Bote. The amount of Php400,000.00
was allotted for Barangay Bote.

Majority of women and children in the identified barangays are expected to benefit
the most from the implementation of the aforesaid water system projects.
