John 4:

John 4:1-6
”Now Jesus learned that the Pharisees had heard that he was gaining and baptizing more disciples
than John— although in fact it was not Jesus who baptized, but his disciples.

So he left Judea and went back once more to Galilee. Now he had to go through Samaria. So he
came to a town in Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son
Joseph.

Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was
about noon.“

John 4:9
”The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman.

How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.)“

John 4:10-12
”Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would
have asked him and he would have given you living water.”

“Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get
this living water?

Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also
his sons and his livestock?”“

Matthew 18:3
”And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never
enter the kingdom of heaven.“

– She encountered Jesus at a point of rest

– It was a regular day for her, she was doing her normal routine

John 4:9

”The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman.

– She’s encountering Jesus, but she doesn’t realize because she knows so much

– Sometimes there’s an encounter at a point of silence and rest

– Sometimes we’re not even aware

God is omnipresent, He’s everywhere, we can encounter Him everywhere

. Be like a child in your relationship with God:

Children follow their parent everywhere

They are their parents’ shadows

– Be with God, even at His point of rest when He’s not going much

– He is a God of NOW

– God lives in the moment

– Abba wants us to let go of our experiences

– Become like a child in your relationship with God

. Be like a child in terms of alertness

– The Samaritan woman wasn’t aware of WHO WAS IN FRONT of her because of her experience

– THERE IS AN ENCOUNTER EVERYDAY

– Even in the pain, there is an encounter

– sometimes we focus so much on how we should be like

– You can hear God even in the mess

– Sometimes we leave God in our work places then try to find Him in our prayer closet
BUT GOD IS EVERYWHERE AT THE SAME TIME

Even when He comes to lay down in the boat, HE IS STILL GOD

He is Jehovah Nissi, but also Jehovah Shalom

Children are not alert about the things of the world, THEY ARE ONLY ALERT ABOUT THE THINGS
CONCERNING THEIR PARENTS

– We must be attentive, move when He moves

. Be like a child in terms of Faith

Matthew 6:31-34
”So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For
the pagans run after all these things,

and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his
righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough
trouble of its own.“

Proverbs 3:5-6
”Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;

in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.“

Luke 6:46-47
”“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?

As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you
what they are like.“

– Listen to Father

– There are rules in every kingdom

 – There are consequences for every action

– Maybe if we did everything Father told us, We would have unshakable faith

If you listen to the principals of God, maybe in tough situations, you will hear His Voice at the
back of your head

– sometimes when it’s dark around you, and nobody understands you, but IF YOU LISTEN TO
WHAT GOD SAYS, then your house will be built on a rock

Sometimes we have some parts of out house built on a rock, but some other parts are on a sand

The problem we have is that we trust Him in certain areas, but not in all areas

Sometimes we trust Him in certain areas more

Luke 6:47
”As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you
what they are like.“

THE STORE OF NOAH

– a mountain is a rock on a strong, firm foundation

– Even when the storm comes, you remember what He has done before..

HE IS THE SAME GOD

BUILD YOUR HOME ON A ROCK & FIRM FOUNDATION like a mountain, that when the rain comes,
and the violent winds blow, stay strong in Him

Maybe your situation would be like that of Daniel,

– God won’t take you out of the lion’s den, but will shut the mouths of the lions

Malachi 3:6
”“I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.“

Hebrews 13:8
”Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.“

Numbers 23:19
”God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he
speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?“

– He has already pre- destined our lives & we just need to trust and obey Him

Matthew 7:11
”If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will
your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!“

Every single day is breakthrough & a discovery with Him

Isaiah 48:18
”If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river, your well-
being like the waves of the sea.“

. Be careful not to depend on yourself

– Many think that they rule their own lives

– Most of us are at a point where we know too much

– Maybe this is why we still worry after Abba says to not worry

– Sometimes we feel entitled

– Sometimes we make ourselves idols

God looks at your heart and not your spirit

When you’re in the flesh, you’re not in connection with Him

If we would just listen, then maybe we won’t be grieving Him so much

Sometimes we’re in each other presence but not in His presence

1 Corinthians 12:17
”If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an
ear, where would the sense of smell be?“

He speaks to us through dreams also, but instead

Peter’s encounter with Jesus

“ I will make you fishers of men “

They would’ve missed it if they weren’t careful
