Disadvantages of Water pollution:

Water pollution has severe impacts on the environment and human well-being. When water bodies
are contaminated, it disrupts the balance of ecosystems, causing harm to life and reducing
biodiversity. The presence of pollutants in water can lead to the spread of diseases, putting health at
risk when consumed or exposed to directly. Toxic elements like metals and chemicals found in water
can build up in the food chain, impacting both wildlife and humans who rely on contaminated fish
and crops for sustenance. Moreover, water pollution also harms recreational spots, diminishing
tourism activities and negatively affecting economies. It contributes to a shortage of drinking water,
placing a strain on water treatment facilities and increasing expenses for communities. In agriculture,
using polluted water for irrigation can damage crops and soil quality, resulting in reduced agricultural
output. In essence, water pollution poses a significant challenge to sustainability, public health, and
economic prosperity.
