Q.1 What is the compelling motive of the women to kill the tiger?
Her inclination towards hunting is due to her rivalry and jealousy towards a lady named Loona
Bimberton. Loona had travelled 11 miles in an aeroplane to the desired hunting spot and get a
personally procured tiger skin and a heavy harvest of press photographs. Mrs.Packletide also wanted a
similar tiger skin and lots of photographs to published in the newspaper in order to outshone Loona.

Q.2 What Mrs.Packletide did in order to outshine Loona?


First of all she thought that when she will hunt a tiger she will arrange a lunch in honour of Loona, with
a tiger skin rug occupying most the foreground and all of her conversation to gain the attention in the
party to show off her achievement of hunting a wild tiger. She had also already designed in her mind
that she will gift her a tiger-claw brooch in her birthday to show that she is more efficient that Loona.
