Parto CHAPTER 1 WRITTEN WORK

BS PSYCH 3-1

I would like to be the kind of teacher that encourages all of her students to achieve in all of
their endeavors and have confidence in themselves. The main thing I want is for my classroom to
be a fantastic setting for learning, especially student-centered learning. Students should leave my
class with a solid understanding of the subject matter as well as a thorough understanding of how
to put what they have learned in class to use in their own life. I will be accessible to all students,
identify which ones require more help, and offer support as needed for that specific student or
students. In order to develop their own thoughts and make connections between new information
and prior knowledge, I would like students to explore and experiment consistently.
I do believe that there are specific characteristics a good teacher should have. As for my
strengths, I feel that I am able to have a well-ordered environment that will engage and reach all
students since I am organized. Additionally, it will be carried out with warmth, accessibility,
excitement, a professional sense of humor, awareness of curricular standards, and good
communication. It will also be done in a kind, fair, flexible, and consistent manner. In my opinion,
I believe I have the capability of teaching with a lot more patience and understanding, as I have
been practicing progressively from now.
On the other hand, whenever there are strengths, there are also weaknesses, both the good
and the bad. For good weaknesses, I believe I have the tendency to become much more of a
perfectionist, this may be good improvement-wise both for the student and me as the teacher, but
it may also be bad, since it would come with a lot of pressure. For bad weaknesses, I would say
that self-criticism would be my worst. This I state mainly because, I would tend to over-evaluate
myself as a teacher whether did I taught a topic right or could I have done it better. Despite all of
this, I know that having balance and passion would greatly benefit both me as a teacher and my
students.
