Dear Ms. Chiquito,

I hope this letter finds you well. It is with regret and disappointment that I am writing to officially
tender my resignation from my position at MIT International School effective April 30, 2024.

The reason for my resignation is a deeply distressing incident of verbal harassment that
occurred on the 16th of January between 4:30 - 5:00 PM. While I was preparing myself to go
home, I was subjected to offensive comments, specifically, I was told “Miss Alexa, kainin mo
itlog ko,” and was handed an egg. Regrettably, this incident involved Mr. Jomar Manuel.

I believe that a workplace should be a safe and respectful environment for all employees.
However, the incident has left me feeling deeply uncomfortable and stressed, impacting my
overall well-being. Despite my efforts to cope with the situation, I have come to the realization
that I can no longer continue in a work environment that compromises my mental and emotional
health.

I would like to express my gratitude for the opportunities for professional and personal
development that I have gained during my time at MIT International School. I have appreciated
the chance to work with talented and dedicated colleagues.

I request that my remaining vacation days be applied to my notice period, allowing my last
working day to be on April 30, 2024. May I also request that I be given a copy of the CCTV
footage of the said incident for it will serve as my evidence. I am committed to ensure a smooth
transition during this period and am willing to assist in any way possible.

I hope that the necessary steps will be taken to address issues of harassment within the
workplace so that others do not have to experience what I have gone through.
