Picture description – The Brown Bomber

In this picture, I can see two man boxing in the middle of an arena. They are in the middle of a boxing
match, and the upper man just kicked the other boxer, who is now on the floor trying to catch some
air. Behind them, there is a boxing referee who is watching carefully the boxer on the floor. The other
boxer in the black training pants is Joe Louis, aka The Brown Bomber, who is the main character of
this painting. I suppose this picture was painted especially for him, after when he won a
championship. At the bottom of the picture, in front of the podium, there are a couple of journalists
and photographers. All over the podium there are people, watching the match between these two
sportman. In the background, we can’t see much, as there is one homogen background there.

Judging by Joe’s expression, I’d say he’s rather courious what’s hapenned with the other man, instead
of being happy to win the competition. The referee’s expression is also a bit curious, and worrying.
The failed boxer has several expressions on his face. He looks like disappointed to lose the
competition, looks tired, and looks like his face or hand got injured during the match. The journalist’s
looks like exited, as there is something unusual in this match.

Overall, i think this picture shows exactly how it looks like to be in a boxing match. The painter shows
us as much details as possible, and i think paintings are one of the most beautiful ways to shows our
perspective to the World.
