ANT Technology
Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) is a sustainable and cost-effective technique used in the field of civil
engineering and road construction. It is a process that involves recycling and reusing of existing
pavement materials to create a new, durable base layer of pavement. FDR offers numerous advantages
over traditional road reconstruction methods, such as reduced costs, shortened construction period, and
decreased environmental impacts.
The FDR Construction Methodology typically begins with the pulverization and mixing of the existing
pavement materials, including the underlying layers such as asphalt and base materials. This is achieved
by using specialized equipment, such as a reclaimer or a milling machine, which breaks down the
existing pavement into small granular particles. The pulverized material is then mixed with an
appropriate amount of cement, water, and additives to enhance its strength and stability.
The mixture is thoroughly blended to create a homogeneous base material, which is then compacted
and shaped to the desired cross-section of the new road. Compaction is typically achieved through the
use of heavy rollers or compactors, ensuring proper density and stability. The new road base created
through FDR provides a strong and solid foundation for the subsequent pavement layers.
By distributing strength uniformly throughout the structure at the molecular level, ANT technology
creates a very durable and sturdy road. When compared to other stabilised roads, the "ANT" stabilizer-
equipped roads are far more durable. High mechanical and physical qualities, including strength,
durability, water resistance, and frost resistance, are acquired by the stabilised soil.
