Vir Das sends stern message to Zepto

to ‘stop’ sending him notifications,


company responds: ‘No more flirting’

Comedian Vir Das was annoyed by Zepto’s notifications


and urged the quick commerce company to “stop”
sending them. The company’s response to this is
unmissable.

stop them is to turn off the app notifications, the other is
what comedian Vir Das did. When Das was bombarded with
notifications from quick commerce company Zepto, he

While sharing a screenshot of the notifications, Das wrote, “I


don’t care if you’re thirsty. Your eggplant needs to leave my
mushroom button alone. I don’t want my choco filled. I am
not your paneer. Stop.”

He further urged in his Instagram post’s caption, “Zepto.


Stop,” complete with a laughing emoticon.

According to the screenshot shared by the 45-year-old


comedian, Zepto sent four notifications in less than 10
minutes.

One of the alert texts reads, “Vir: I am thirsty,” while another OPEN APP

says, “You’re like paneer.” A third even praised the comedian’s


looks: “You are so beautiful, Vir.” It further reads, “Can we
interest you in a cookie?” complete with a heart emoticon.

Zepto soon reacted to the post and wrote, “No more flirting
with Vir. You’ve been telling everyone about us.” The
company also added a melting face emoji with their comment
on the post.

In 2023, Vir Das won the International Emmy Award for


Comedy for a standup special, Vir Das: Landing, which
premiered on Netflix. It won against Le Flambeau, El
Encargado and Derry Girls Season 3.

Indians have been sharing witty responses to a foreign


publication’s report on a heatwave alert in the United
Kingdom at 26 degrees Celsius.

When Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Parveen Kaswan


came across a post by a foreign publication about the
heatwave alert in the United Kingdom, with temperatures
reaching 26-degree Celsius and five cities in England being

the hottest, he couldn’t stop himself from sharing his views
on it.
UK's heatwave alert at 26 degrees Celsius elicited numerous reactions from Indians,
including one from an IFS officer who termed the temperature in Britain as "pleasant".

Parveen Kaswan not only declared the weather in the UK as


“pleasant” but also expressed that the temperature is just
“two degrees above default AC setting in India”.

This quirky South Indian curd rice sushi recipe retains 2


traditional sushi components — rice and nori, but switches
out the rest with lip smacking Indian kitchen staples to create

Ingredients: Sushi rice - 1 cup, Water - 1 1/2 cups, Salt - 1/2


tsp, Yoghurt - 1/4 cup, Mango pickle, Nori sheet - 2, For tadka
—Mustard seeds - 1 tsp, Ginger 1/2 inch, Hing - a pinch; you
will also need a sushi rolling mat

Method: Wash the sushi rice a few times and pressure cook
on medium high heat for three whistles before laying it flat
for quick cooling. Once cool, salt the rice. Prepare the tadka
and add. Now add the yoghurt and ensure that the mixture
feels sticky as opposed to runny as this will aid in rolling your
sushi. Place the nori sheets on the sushi rolling mat, add the
rice then layer with the mango pickle. Once rolled, cut into
bite sized pieces.
