Reason for Services M&I of MB-04 is under progress. Ball valves are installed in MB-04 for
regular operation and positive isolation of the Bullet. During blinding
activities, few valves (Size – In) were found passing. These valves need to
be urgently replaced/overhauling to be done for timely handing over of
the Bullet for operation.
The Overhauling cost of valve of size -….. and …. are compared with
P.O. of complete valves PO no.- 26847876 dated on 26.02.2021 and
25939537 dated on 02.05.2019 respectively.
Overhauling cost was found much lower than the replacement. It was
decided to carry out complete overhauling of these valves through
reputed vendor.

Reason for procurement Gearbox operated valves installed in various Tanks of Gujarat Refinery.

received from production for hard to operate the valve. Through checking
of valve was done and found that gearbox thrust ball bearing was
cracked. As per the SAP, stock was nil. Considering the Criticality, Several
agencies were contacted to supply; M/s Indian Engineering solution was
quoted lowest among all received offers.
