1. APPLICATION AREA

The subject of this procedure is to describe the method adopted for in situ tests of piles foundation solution of
GREENFIELD Project TATAOUINE.

2. REFERENCE DOCUMENTS

 C00332100DARV14002 - GEOTECHNICAL SITE INVESTIGATIONS ANALYSIS

REPORT
 TERRASOL Report of 20-5-2019: Optimisation du système de fondation panneaux
photovoltaïques.
 Preliminary engineering for tracker foundation of 20-5-2019: DETERMINATION DES
EFFORTS DANS LES PIEDS DES TRACKERS
 Classic Piles dimensions (Optimum profile solution)

3. PILES SOLUTION

According to all inputs with regards to geotechnical investigation reports and to TERRASOL Report , the
soil is considered unsuitable for piles ramming. So, the solution that will be adopted for Tracker
foundation is concrete micro piles.

In accordance with geotechnical study, the drilling holes will be conducted with 320mm diameter and
2000mm depth. These 2 required parameters are theorical sufficient. These two parameters will be
confirmed by site tests as per project requirement.

Eventually, and as additional piles solution tests (ramming technics), a trial tests will be conducted for
drill holes, with soil substitution and piles ramming. (without concrete).

4. EQUIPMENTS

 Backhoe
 Lifting sling
 Tightener
 Dynamometer
 Pile

5. TEST STEPS

The tests will be conducted in different site areas to ensure a sufficient samples of typical soil types. And
to ensure as possible real conditions of piles loads.

1. Tightener attached with lifting sling from 2 sides: 1 side from piles and 2 side from backhoe

2. Lateral force pile from tightener will be calculate with the dynamometer
