STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

We should help shape post-COVID-19 education as we transition to the new

normal.Thus, this study explored one major research problem, what are the effects to

academic performance of online language learning to Grade 8 students of Tanauan Institute,

Inc. amidst COVID-19 Pandemic.

Specifically, it seeks to answer the following questions:

1. How is the respondents’ profile described in terms of the following:

1.1 Age;

1.2 Gender,

1.3 Civil Status

1.4 Network Connection and

1.5 Length of Service

2. What are the challenges occurred in different online platforms in terms of:

2.1 Zoom,

2.2 Google Meet and

2.3 Google Classroom

3. What are the academic performance of the Students in English for school year

2020-2021 based on school form (SF5)?

4. Is there a significant relationship between the profile of the respondents and their

challenges encountered in online distance learning modality?
