Dear Hiring Manager,

I'm writing to express my interest in your company's summer internship programme. I learned about
your company from our college placement cell. After visiting your website, I'd like to learn more about
your groundbreaking work in financial services.

I am currently pursuing Master’s degree in Economics (Trade and Finance) at the Indian Institute of
Foreign Trade, Kolkata. American Express embodies every aspect of a forward-thinking organisation,
and I'd love to intern with this company and work alongside the best data scientists. I'd like to intern at
your firm to gain a better understanding of the financial services sector.

I graduated from Maitreyi College with a bachelor's degree in Economics (Hons) and interned at three
corporate start-ups, where I gained hands-on experience in areas such as market analysis and
quantitative and qualitative analysis.
The accelerated growth and the excellent working environment make American Express a great place
to work, which prompted me to apply for this position. Through my knowledge of what it entails, has
equipped me with the interpersonal skills needed to excel in a fast-paced and statistically driven
environment. I'm confident that my enthusiasm for using data to drive logical opinions, combined with
my interpersonal chops and attention to detail, make me strong seeker for this internship. I'm excited to be
