SUMMARY, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

This chapter presents the summary, conclusions and recommendation

of this study.

Summary of Findings

1. Of the 15 respondents, majority of the respondents belong to ages 51

years old and above with 7 or 46 % while 41-50 with 1 or 6%. As the

gender of the respondents, male got 13 or 86.66% while LGBT got

only 1 or 6.67%. As the educational attainment of the respondents,

Elementary got 10 or 67% while and Tertiary got 1 or 6%, and as the

year started of being a member of leftist group 2007-2011 got 6 or

40% while year 1997-2001 got no response as well as Year 2002-

2006.

2. As to advantages of being a rebel returnee majority agree Provide

various activities such as farming, animal raising, and etc. got

weighted average mean of 4.6, strongly agree while Firearm

renumeration from government got only weighted average of 4.14,

Neutral.

3. As to the disadvantages of being a rebel returnee majority of the

respondents said that receive death threat from CPP-NPA got the

highest frequency and average of 4.26 WAM while Difficulties in

finding a job due to being a rebel returnee got only 2.05 WAM.

4. And as the solutions offered by the respondents to lessen the

disadvantages, respondents give an urgent response that Invest and

spend money wisely given by the government with an average of 4.34

weighted average mean, while Be patient waiting to the benefits from

the government got only 3.07 weighted average mean.

Conclusions

Based from the findings, the following conclusions were drawn.

1. Out of 15 respondents, majority of them belong to ages 51 and above,

male, Elementary level, has started in being in the leftist group from

2007-2011.

2. As to the advantages of being a rebel returnee the respondents said

that Provide various activities such as farming, animal raising, and

etc.

3. As to the disadvantages of being a rebel returnee the respondent said

that they received death threat from CPP-NPA.

4. As to the solution offered, surrender all the armor, Invest and spend

money wisely given by the government.

Recommendations

From the conclusions, the researchers offer the following

recommendations.

1. The government should sustain it efforts in assisting rebel returnees

and ensure a wider dissemination of the benefits of surrendering in

order to convince rebel returnees to go the formal process.

2. The government should conduct sustainable program.

3. That the government expedite the provision of benefits to former rebel

returnees in order to help starting a new life.

4. Produce a draft of another possible program which are more realistic

and achievable.

5. Mobilize and strengthen protective details for rebel returnees.

6. Provide employment program accessible for rebel returnees.

7. Conduct regular check on house hold and whereabout of rebel

returnees.

8. Conduct surveys to check the allegiance of the rebel returnees to the

government.
