Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy and blessings.

Ladies and gentlemen who are glorified by Allah, all praise and gratitude let us pray
together. Because Allah has bestowed His grace, blessing, and guidance on all of us so that
we can gather here in good health and nothing less.

On this occasion, let me discuss about alms in Islam. Maybe all of you have heard that there
is an expression of charity that can be a helper for every human being.

Because whoever does alms will be bestowed with blessings, mercy and rewards from Allah
SWT.

The nature of helping others that is in a person becomes generosity and noble character for
the person who provides the help.

In Islam, it is also recommended that each of its followers do alms or share with others
without exception.

Like the obligation to pay zakat for Muslims, poor people out there also need people who
have excess wealth to give charity. As mentioned by Prophet Muhammad SAW in the
following hadith:

‫َه ْل ُتْن َص ُروَن َو ُتْر َز ُقوَن ِإاَّل ِبُض َع َفاِئُك ْم‬

"You are not helped and provided with sustenance except because of the (prayer) of those
who are weak (among) you." - HR. Bukhari.

Alms will not reduce our wealth, if we can see it from a different perspective.

Being able to give charity is a wonderful thing because it can share the blessings and
sustenance that Allah SWT has promised to be rewarded with.

Hopefully we can all be more often and give charity after this. Amen allahma amen. I have
finished the lecture this time, wassalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
