At the end of this lesson, the learners will be able to:

 Students will be able to define and differentiate between concrete and abstract nouns.

 Students will appreciate the use of concrete and abstract nouns in expressing ideas and emotions in
language.

 Students will be able to identify and use concrete and abstract nouns in sentences.

B. REVIEW

- Before we begin our discussion for the day, let's


have a short review about our previews topic.

- Can anyone tell me what was our previews topic


is all about? -It's all about noun.

-Very good! It's all about noun. Then can anyone


tell me what is noun? -Noun is a name of person, place, things, animal
and ideas.
-Very good! Noun is a name of of person, place,
things, animal and ideas. Since everyone still
remembers what was our previews topic is all
about, let's proceed to our current lesson of the
day which is titled Concrete noun and Abstract
noun that is still a part of noun.

C. MOTIVATION

-I have here a set of pictures which is I'm going to


show you regarding about concrete noun and
abstract noun examples. And after that, I will
show you some pictures of examples only, and I
want you to tell me if it as example of Concrete
noun or an Abstract noun.

-Okey class, are you ready? -Yes ma’am!

-This picture here is an example s of a concrete


noun and this other picture is an example of
Abstract noun (Showing the pictures containing
the examples of Concrete noun and Abstract
noun).

-Did you manage to understand what is the


difference between concrete noun and abstract -Yes ma’am!
noun?

-Very good! And because of that, I will show you


some other pictures and I want you to tell me, if
the picture that I’m going to show you is an - Concrete noun example

-Very good! Now, does everyone have an idea


what is Concrete noun and Abstract noun?

- Very good! And because of that, let us proceed to


our main topic of the day which is titled Concrete
noun and Abstract noun.

D. PRESENTATION/DISCUSSION

-Concrete nouns are things that we can experience .


with our five senses: we can see, hear, smell,
touch, or taste them.

Ex. Books, Sun, Chocolate

-abstract nouns are things that we cannot


experience with our five senses.

Ex. Happy, Lonely, Angry

E. APPLICATION

-I’m going to group you into 2 groups and I’m will
also give you some pictures of an examples of
Concrete noun and Abstract noun which is you are
going to put on the right answer.

F. GENERALIZATION

Once again, concrete noun is anything that we can


see, smell, taste, hear and touch. As for the
abstract noun, it is anything that we cannot see,
smell, taste, hear and touch.
