1. Planning Information

A. Effectivity
PT6T-9 Power Section which are before and include Serial No. CP-PSUC0022
excluding Serial No. CP-PSUC0007 to CP-PSUC0014.

B. Concurrent Requirements

None.

C. Reason

(1) Problem

The CT shroud segments may rotate within the CT shroud housing.

(2) Cause

Loose radial fit between the segments and the shroud housing.

(3) Solution

Introduce a shroud segment with a tack welded shim to the downstream leg of the
shroud segment. This provides a tight fit between the shroud segment and the
shroud housing that prevents rotation of the shroud segments.

D. Description

Replace the CT shroud segments with new ones that includes tack welded shims.

E. Compliance

CATEGORY 5 - P&WC recommends to do this service bulletin when the engine is

disassembled and access is available to the necessary subassembly
(i.e. module, accessories, components, or build groups). Do all
spare subassemblies.
