A Movie Review: Frozen

Released in 2013, Frozen has become one of the most popular

animated movies by Disney. It is a musical movie suited for the viewing of a
family friendly setting. This movie entails the adventure of two sisters, Anna
and Elsa in the Kingdom of Arendelle. Anna is voiced by Kristen Bell while
Elsa is voiced by Idina Mendel.
The movie starts off with Elsa displaying her powers to create ice and
snow. However, she accidentally hurts Anna and they slowly grow
estranged. With the death of the King and Queen, Princess Elsa rises to
the throne and shuts the kingdom down from outside contact. When Elsa
has to be coronated, the kingdom finally opens up but this is inadvertently
invited foreign power to complicate the situation of Arendelle. At the end of
the movie, Anna and Elsa work together to deter the negative forces and
defend Arendelle from being overtaken.
Overall, I am very intrigued by this movie, especially how Elsa’s
character grow from a timid princess who only wants to hide her own power
to a confident queen who is brave to fight against any forces threatening
her family or her kingdom. Aside from that, the songs which are played
throughout the movie are very entertaining and catchy. I even set one of
the songs, Do You Want to Build A Snowman as my phone’s ringtone.
I would definitely recommend this movie to my friends because this
movie comes with a lot of moral values which they can pick up. They can
learn to be brave and face any challenges head on without any fear.
