A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE RELEASE OF TEN PERCENT (10%) OF THE

GENERAL FUND OF BARANGAY __________ TO THE SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN

(SK) OF BARANGAY __________ FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF YOUTH
DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS, PROJECTS, AND ACTIVITIES IN ACCORDANCE
WITH REPUBLIC ACT NO. 10742 AND REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7160

WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 10742, otherwise known as the "Sangguniang Kabataan Reform
Act of 2015," mandates the creation and strengthening of the Sangguniang Kabataan, providing
them with the necessary funds and support to implement programs, projects, and activities
(PPAs) for youth development;

WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the "Local Government Code of
1991," provides for the allocation and utilization of local funds, including those for the
Sangguniang Kabataan, ensuring that these are managed and disbursed according to established
guidelines and in the interest of public accountability;

WHEREAS, Section 329 of Republic Act No. 7160 mandates that 10% of the general fund of the
Barangay shall be allocated for the Sangguniang Kabataan;

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Barangay of Barangay __________ recognizes the importance of

youth development and is committed to supporting the Sangguniang Kabataan in their efforts to
implement various PPAs for the benefit of the youth in the Barangay;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Barangay Kagawad _____________________, duly

seconded by Barangay Kagawad _____________________, the Sangguniang Barangay of
Barangay __________ hereby adopts the following resolution:

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to authorize the release of ten percent (10%)

of the general fund of Barangay __________ to the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Barangay
__________ for the implementation of youth development programs, projects, and activities.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the Barangay Treasurer is hereby directed to facilitate the release
and/or deposit of the aforementioned funds to the official bank account of the Sangguniang
Kabataan (SK) of Barangay __________.

RESOLVED FURTHERMORE, that the SK Chairperson is hereby required to submit

quarterly financial and accomplishment reports to the Sangguniang Barangay detailing the
utilization of the funds and the progress and outcomes of the implemented PPAs.

RESOLVED FINALLY, that copies of this resolution be furnished to the Sangguniang

Kabataan (SK) of Barangay __________, the Barangay Treasurer, and all other concerned
agencies for their information and appropriate action.
