Story of Success

The world has always mesmerised me with its captivating beauty. Through the camera lens,
I discovered a way to immortalise its enchantment. It was during my 11th grade that wildlife
photography stole my heart. The passion was ignited during an online course and a
transformative internship programme with Sudhir Shivaram, an award-winning wildlife
photographer.

However, embarking on my BSc. programme in Film and TV Production, with its annual cost
of around ₹1 lakh, it felt like scaling an insurmountable mountain. My father, a dedicated
farmer and the sole earner for our family of five, went above and beyond to help us sustain
on his modest income. Despite his relentless efforts, the first year of my academic journey
was a tumultuous whirlwind of loans and anxiety.

Thankfully, the Nikon Scholarship Program 2023-24 provided a much-needed grant and
relief, which covered the cost incurred on second-year fee payment. This allowed me to
pursue my passion for filmmaking while painstakingly craft my visual narratives, frame by
frame. Thanks to the generous support offered by Nikon India Private Limited, my dream of
becoming a cinematographer is now within reach. My focus is clearer and sharper than ever
before.
