WARNING
The Orthoralix 8500 unit must be well supported in the following steps
where the unit is being disconnected from the wall mount bracket and
then laid down. The weight is not evenly distributed due to the heavy
Tubehead Assembly. Failure to take care could result in personal
injury or damage to the equipment if the unit is allowed to tilt too far
towards the Tubehead Assembly side.

6. For units mounted to the wall: Remove the four (4) screws (2 on each
side) that secure the column bracket to the wall mount bracket (Fig. 5).

Assembly

Assembly
Note! When inserting the assembly into the column, hold the motor with one hand
and the actuator lift tube with the other (Fig. 12). If you do not hold the
actuator lift tube, the weight of the tube causes the actuator screw to move
up and out of the tube. This can result in the top plate positioned at a height
that exceeds the length of the top plate mounting bolts.
If this happens, remove the assembly. Make sure the actuator tube is fully up
before inserting the assembly into the column.

Note! In the following step, the alignment pin in the column motor block assembly
is a permanent fixture in the assembly. The slot in the shaft must fit over the
pin in order to insert the bolt that secures the shaft.
2. For units kept in the upright position: At the point where it is no
longer possible to hold either the motor or the actuator lift tube, drop the
assembly onto the column motor block assembly twisting it into position
if necessary to align the slot with the alignment pin (Fig. 14).

For units that have been laid down due to inadequate ceiling height
or a defective motor: Push the assembly onto the column motor block
assembly twisting it into position if necessary to align the slot with the
alignment pin (Fig. 14).
